Kim Dae Mun Korean Food Smile Dec 09, 2011

One of the best Korean beef served on a hotplate in a food court ever! It is priced at a steeper price, but do not fret as the portion and quality of the food is really worth the money. Not to mention, get ready to wait for your food at least a good ten minutes during peak hours. There are many many people in queue.

Never knew that Taste Paradise and Paradise Dynasty belonged to the same paradise group. Saw this queue of crowd outside the restaurant and not at Taste Paradise, decided to head on to the one with queues.

Took some time to be seated. Along the tables, saw that most tables ordered their xiao long bao. Decided to go for a try but the tough choice came when I had to choose the flavours.

Decided to go for nothing that exotic but yet tolerable; the black truffle.
The presentation was acceptable but nothing to leave me WOAH.
The texture of the skin was quite full of flour but it did not take effort to accidentally break open the xiao long bao. Took a couple of tries before I could hold 1 without breaking it open tongue
The taste of the black truffle is not mind blowing but definitely leaves an impression. Wet indeed, the soup tastes great along with the fungus. Very tender fillings and the after taste lingers for a moment.
The chilli paste is a little too oily, but yet again, without the oil, the chilli would not look that appetizing. Not too spicy, the chilli oil helps to moisture the dry chilli that goes extremely well with the xiao long bao.
This dish is jin hor jiak! Must try! Nom Nom Nom smile

After many tries, finally it didn't break

Sukiyaki Smile Jan 27, 2012

As part of a get together Chinese new year gathering with my friends, I recommended this cozy place for some Chinese new year mood, steamboat style that is. We had ourselves some pork belly sukiyaki. Their sauces are placed on your table, using any amount to your own discretion. The peanut sauce was what I liked most as it was the most flavourful. The soup was surprisingly a little dull but very authentic.

Think I remember seeing this bakery somewhere in changi when I sent my relative off to tekong. Anyway, wow man and i mean wow! So cheap la the things here. Whats more? This is a halal bakery! So many kuehs to choose from. Got these rice kuehs and boy oh boy, the fillings are so full, totally worth the price. Fresh, affordable and stuffed! Where can find?

Awesome laksa that suits me best! The gravy is thick, lamek. Taste wise, the chilli paste is rather salty. The gravy by itself is a little salty already so if you're watching out for salt, cut down on the chilli paste. The cockles were quite fresh and chewy. Portion is huge! Worth every cent spent
