Generous Smile Nov 13, 2011

Generous is what I will say about their ingredients. Big fishballs and meatballs, pork liver and pork meat slices occupy most of the space of the bowl.

Just look at the bowl!
The huge fishballs give the Q-Q texture, nice! Don't choke on them tongue
Meatballs are surprisingly tender and flavourful.
The pork liver was not over cooked nor under cooked, not powdery, no blood signs.
Fish cake was similar to that of the fishball, springy.
All items were well timely cooked, the meat weren't soggy, noodles as well.
Soup is a little bland but all in all, value for money meal!

Ice cream Smile Nov 04, 2011

A hot day calls for ice cream!
Though somewhat higher priced than supermarkets or mama shops, this is the cheapest place you can get your fix at the island since the others are those from haagen dasz and natural ice cream. Enjoy your ice cream while watching at the nearby peacocks at the grass patch.
Friendly staff that gave me directions to fort siloso and even informed me when i dropped my 10 cent coin. 10 cent leh! haha
Expect to get over the counter package food items and drinks at this stall, nothing here is to be cooked.

A usually quiet place if not for lunch time; located near nicoll highway, this place is one of the favourites of office workers.
Got an interesting choice green tea latte to heat up. This is my first ever hot drink at Starbuck's and I must say it is very good.
Though the tea smell is rather strong with every sip, the combination is sweet but yet fuses green tea coffee well together.
Do not worry about the drink's color, it will not affect you when nature calls la tongue

not bad Smile Nov 03, 2011

The aunty and uncle are friendly people and smiles at you even though there's a never ending queue.
The thai chili sauce chicken rice is fried nicely; the chicken is crispy but could be better if the chicken was hotter. But then, which chicken rice stall actually bothers to because the chicken is already fried.
The rice is slightly fragrant and the chicken soup is not bad. Their chilli paste is too salty for me but their chilli sauce is well mixed with garlic

Unagi Rice Smile Mar 29, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Bars/Lounges | Hotel | Sushi/Sashimi

Though the unagi are realy tiny bits and shreds, the fried rice is really nice! The wok hei smell is there, when the waiter served it, I just could wait to eat it, I took up my utensils before remembering I had to take a picture, that's why for fork and spoon are placed in such a weird way hehe...
The unagi yakimeshi is served with just the unagi, some fried egg, spring onions and i think, a little salted fish.
