Dinner Smile Dec 20, 2014

Had a set dinner here and the food is pretty good!

The shredded rice flour skin somewhat resembled jellyfish (if it was meat). It was rather smooth and the sauce was sweet and mildy spicy. The golden mushroom salad roll was good too. The skin was thin and slightly chewy and the roll had a hint of wasabi in it too. It may seem like a weird combination but surprisingly tasted good.

wild morel double boiled soup with yellow fungus: the soup was slightly sweet but somewhat light-tasting too. It also tasted healthy yet delicious!

The cauliflower and broccoli were sauteed and had just the right texture (not too hard or soft). The vegetables were accompanied by shredded mock ham which tasted like beancurd skin.

The vegetarian fish served with curry was the highlight of the dinner. It was my favourite dish and the best vegetarian curry I've ever had! Kinda similar to meat curry. It was fragrant and the curry was rich in flavour. The fish was made of beancurd with seaweed as substitute for the skin. Although it was drenched in the curry gravy, it did not taste soggy. The curry vegetables were soft too and tasted yummy with the curry.

fried vermicelli with shredded vegetables was moist, light-tasting but satisfying.

If you are vegetarian or love vegetarian food, try this restaurant out!

Parma ham pizza  Smile Dec 18, 2014   (Related Review)

Love parma ham? Love thin crust pizza? Then.. this is the pizza for you!! I absolutely adore the combination of rocket leaves and parma ham. They go so well together! The parma ham has a lightly salted flavour and has a smooth texture. So yummy. The crust of the pizza is also crisp and addictive. Their iced mocha is also lovely, with a rich chocolatey taste and caffeine kick. Be sure to make reservations or be prepared to wait like I did!

coffee break Smile Dec 18, 2014

Tried their truffle fries and cold drip coffee. The cold drip coffee had citrus notes and it wasn't very bitter (usually when people drink long back, bitter comes to mind!) as the added lemon gave it the slight sourness and sweetness too. I love this drink! Served icy cold, it was a refershing drink too. The truffle fries were a little overrated I feel. The truffle taste was not even. Some fries lacked the truffle flavour while it was present in others. Symmetry is a lovely place though. I love the ambience smile

Fried chicken  Smile Dec 18, 2014

Tried their extra spicy chicken set ($8+) that came with fries (I changed the mashed potato to fries) and honey biscuit. The biscuit had a dry texture but the honey flavour was rather addictive and there was a salted flavour in it too. The chicken was tender and skin was really crispy. It was also spicier than the normal crispy chicken but tolerable. The breast meat part was a tad dry though. The chicken was also quite oily but it's expected of fried chicken especially those in fast-food chains. The fries were rather yummy (unlike mcds and kfc ones) and tasted like potato wedges in fries form. If you like fast food chicken, you'll like this I guess smile

Garlic fried rice Smile Dec 18, 2014   (Related Review)

Tried their garlic fried rice $7 (also ordered a $2 cold sake promo). Portion was quite filling for one person. The garlic taste was very fragrant and rice was fluffy and wasn't lumpy and did not stick together too. Eggs were also added and fried together with the rice, making it tastier. If you love garlic fried rice, you'll love this! Best to share if you're ordering this so you can leave some stomach space for their other food items smile
