Nasi Padang Smile Feb 13, 2014

Categories : Malay | Singaporean | Food Court | Rice

Got a plate of Nasi Padang for $3.20. I had rice with spicy chicken steak (basically chicken cubes), spicy hotdog and spicy Kang kong. Everything was slightly to moderately spicy only, probably to cater to the masses. It was quite cheap as the portion was a lot compared to other nasi Padang stalls that I had patronize. It was definitely worth the $3.20 paid for. As I was quite hungry, everything tasted rather good except that the hotdog were a tad salty.

Waffle Smile Feb 01, 2014

Categories : Bakery

I was craving for waffles so I decided to settle my cravings at the nearest bakery. This plain waffle costed $1 which was priced average. The waffles were rather fragrant and the edges were crispy. It was also sufficiently fluffy and light in texture, absolutely worth the $1 paid for. Overall, it is worth a try.

Monday Buffet Smile Jan 19, 2014

Place was quite huge and lightings were not conducive for photo-taking but the ambience fitted the mood. Service was meticulous.

The oysters tasted fresh and the cold crab was really fresh with its sweet flesh.

Had some food items from the indian(?) cuisine section. The chips were gooood!

They have local food such as laksa.etc and we tried their wanton noodles which tasted rather bland if not for the rather spicy chilli. On the other hand, their roasted meat was oily and tough.

We saved 1/4 of our stomach space for desserts because they have a wide variety of desserts ranging from christmas cookies, cakes and even icecream!

My favourite selection has got to be this slice of unassuming chocolate cake which was bitter and sweet all at once. Yummy!

The custard puff with taro-colored fillings was my favourite too!

Overall, it is worth a try!

this carrot cake ($9.60) is really good and fragrant. The texture is soft and not sticky and I love that it is fried with beansprouts which gives it the extra texture.

Glutinous rice $3.80
this tastes average and the rice is rather lumpy. I won't recommend you to get this!

prawn dumplings $5.20
prawns are fresh and skin is thin.

Ee fu noodle with crabmeat $9. love this! the noodles are cooked to the right texture. The soup is very hot and clear tasting. It is not salty too.

Recommended Dish(es):  Ee fu noodle with crabmeat, Glutinous rice

Good dim sum Smile Dec 27, 2013

bbq pork buns $3.80
skin is not thick and fillings are slightly sweet which goes well with the fluffy skin.

pan-fried pumpkin $3.80
the texture of the fillings (yam) is rather smooth and it is hot too.

pandan custard bun $3.80
the custard is piping hot so be careful when you eat this as it can scald your tongue! The pandan flavour is subtle and the custard is good.

spring court popiah $6.80
although this popiah seems quite expensive, it is rather big and has a homely taste.

siew mai $4.80
this tastes average.

Prices are reasonable for a dim sum restaurant and their dim sums are pretty decent too. Definitely worth a visit!

Recommended Dish(es):  Pan-fried pumpkin, Pandan custard bun
