Thumbs up for Braise!  Smile Jun 21, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : French | Restaurant

We recently had a company staycation and had our dinner at Braise.
Love the ambience of the place. It was quite cooling as it was pretty near to the beach.
We could even see the peacock at the rooftop.

It was a buffet style dinner but i really love the BBQ prawns for the main dishes but if you ask me, the star of the show has to be the
cempedak creme brulee.

Everyone loves it (well, at least everyone who has got sweet tooth)
It was nothing like all the creme brulee i have tasted before!

The other thing i have to commend on would be the impeccable service smile

Sakura Thai Cuisine  Smile Nov 30, 2010

Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant | Brunch | Kids-Friendly

Manage to get quick dinner at Sakura while waiting for a friend at Buangkok MRT.

It is located very near Buangkok MRT and is quite popular with the residents there.

They offer quite a variety of choices (even seafood like crabs etc) at a reasonable price.
I ordered the Tom Yam Fried Rice but i find the lemngrass taste too overwhelming for my liking.

The kangkong was nice though and i wouldnt mind going back to eat some more.

They have indoor and outdoor seats but because it is at an open area, the outdoor seating area
is not bad either.

In fact, i would rather sit outside cos the seats inside are very very close to the kitchen. Too close for comfort!

Delifrance Fruit Tarts  Smile Nov 30, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : French | Bakery | Burgers and Sandwiches

Dropped by Delifrance yesterday for a quickbite and the first thing i noticed was
the price hike!

I have been buying their mixed fruit tarts since school days and yesterday i was feeling the itch to
have that again and it now cost $3.40 if i am not wrong.

Also got their chicken sandwich (which taste deliciously the same as it was years ago)

Delifrance is the place if you want something quick and tasty..

Al-Ameen Smile Nov 30, 2010

Categories : Malay | Coffeeshop

Al Ameen has always been one of my top choice for supper.
It is normally opened till quite late at night and they have a wide variety of food.
(especially Indian food which are extremely sinful but yummeh!)

This time round, i decided t just get a Tom yam Soup for a light supper.
The fragrance was there and the taste, while not authentic, is quite acceptable.
But i find that they always put a lot of ingredients in the soup (think garlic, onions, lemongrass etc)
I always find it so hard to scoop out the goodies (like the prawn, chicken etc).

Another must order from Al Ameen will be the Naan set.
Although not all Al Ameen will have it but the keema is to die for!

Lastly, Al Ameen is well know for their Milo Godzilla so do try it if you have not!

Another great breakfast  Smile Nov 30, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Fast Food | Halal

I'm a fan of breakfast especially if it's fuss free and ready to go. In this case, fast food restaurant Breakfasts.
I grow up eating Mc'donalds breakfast (not everyday of course!) so when ifinally break free from my comfort zone and decided to venture
to Long John Silver, i was pretty relieved it was not bad at all.

LJS was having a promotion for the Turkey Bacon Breakfast.
At less than $5.00, there will be a set of Turkey Bacon Sandwich (with cheese), hasbrown and choice of drink.
It was quite economical considering the sandwich is quite huge.
I love the bread is so soft and the cheese melts in your mouth.

The tea was so-so.. But can't expect much. Afterall, it is just a fast food restaurant.
