A yummy yoghurt at Glacious Smile Dec 31, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Australian / New Zealand | Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

Yoghurt is the latest in thing and stores selling this latest craze are popping up around the island. I used to prefer the traditional tub-kind found in supermarkets as I think they are the real thing and are definitely more healthy.

However, after trying out at the yoghurt at Glacious, I know where I can get my on-the-go supply of refreshing dessert. It's a norm that you pay according to the weight of the yoghurt on your cup, with toppings included. The mango and strawberry flavoured yoghurt were a refreshing combination with mini marshmallows and cornflakes as a yummy toppings. It's a definitely a nice try! tongue

I was treated to my dream buffet venue on our monthly anniversary by my bf - the Straits Cafe. In the past, I had always envy those who were dining inside this nice-looking restaurant with equally yummy-looking food. Now, I have the chance to be one of the lucky fellas tongue

The choices were not that many. In fact, I had seen what was being offered in the restaurant in less than 5 minutes. However, the seafood was really fresh and I took a whole plate of my favourite salmon and the big, juicy prawns. The award-winning nonya laksa was worth trying and I managed to try a little of everything in the buffet spread. My favourite would be dessert - durian puree. I took like more than 5 and it was really popular.

Though it almost burnt a hole in my bf's hole, it was definitely one of the best buffets in town! smile

My first durian pancake! Smile Dec 27, 2010

Categories : Desserts and Cakes | Halal

I have always been curious to try the pancake because there would always be a long queue at this stall and almost everyone would be buying lots of durian pancake. Thus, I joined in the queue one day when it was reasonably short.

I had to wait rather long despite the fact that there was only one auntie in front of me who was like ordering 2 dozens! I couldn't wait to try my hands on this much sought after pancake and I wasn't disappointed. The pancake was still crispy and shio shio (hot) while the durian filling is cold. Guess it's this combination that makes it so yummy (plus the durian filling is delicious too!)

The yummiest birthday cake ever! Smile Nov 28, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

My bf is a sucker for durain so I've decided to get him the best durain cake from the place that sells the best durain pastries - Emi cakes. I loved the generous amount of durain fillings inside the thick sponge and how delighfully sinful it tasted. Even though it was only D24 and not Mao Shan Wang (the latter would have cost even more), it was still the most heavenly durain cake ever. And of course, my bf was so happy.smile

We love B&J ice cream! Smile Nov 24, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Nobody can simply resist the temptation of a tub of Ben & Jerry ice-cream, including myself. I have decided to buy a pint of ice cream back home so that I can de-stress myself at my own free time with this sinful dessert. Something about the ice cream (maybe it's the special chewy chunks or the funky flavours) simply makes me can't stop eating and usually in no time, a pint would be gone within the first opening. So that's the irresistible part about B&J ice cream smile
