My friend and I were craving for cheese fries and so we ordered it. The fries was not very crispy and the cheese was quite pathetic. It was not sufficient and we had to order more cheese. It was $1 for a cup of cheese. Not worth the money. In the end, we did not finish our fries.

It was the fasting month and my friend and I decided to break fast at Manhattan. We ordered the flaming platter for one as we were afraid that we would not be able to finish it. To our suprise, everything was gone within minutes!

The flaming platter comes with 2 prawns topped with sweet mayonnaise, squid, dory fish, herb rice , broccoli and carrots. The prawns were our favourite. The mayonnaise made it even nicer. The dory fish is also well cooked.

The Char-grilled ribeye with cajun blackened fish is a dish comes with mash potato, fish and the meat topped with barbeque sauce. I ordered corn as the side which comes with butter. The mash potato is one of the nicest I have ever tasted. The fish is cooked to perfection. However, the meat was not very tender. You have to keep chewing in order to soften the meat. It is also quite expensive.

My best friend and I decided to have dessert at Swensens. The ice cream in Swensens is always served in big glasses, enough to be shared among 2 people. We ordered the chocolate crunch.
There is a chocolate waffle, hot fuge syrup and crispy chocolate morsels. The morsels are my favourite. It is not bitter and there is not too much chocolate unlike the chocolate balls, and it is crispy. I like the chocolate crunch as it is not bitter. I am not a fan of bitter chocolate. I enjoyed this ice cream a lot.

I had tried the chicken rice from Tong Seng before and so I decided to try something different this time round. Since I had not tried Laksa before, I decided to try it.
I made a very good choice. The food was very tasty. It had the right amount of coconut, and the noodles was well cooked. The gravy was not too spicy and not too bland. I enjoyed the dish very much. Not forgetting the price is extremely reasonable. $2.50 for a bowl of delicious noodle.
