Modern and elegant, Relish is a casual eatery that serves local traditional flavours with Western and modern touches. Popular for their quirky and over-the-top burgers, Relish by Wild Rocket also serves gastronomical pasta and other tantalizing appetizers.
Firstly, Marmite Wings. This creation was brilliant. It did take me a while to appreciate its peculiar flavour. It was salty and tangy at the same time! Unlike those that I've eaten which were sugar loaded, I guess this is the pure taste of marmite. Acquired taste I must say!
Underneath this coat was one of the crispest and juiciest wings I've ever eaten. Just like eating American Buffalo wings, this was the oriental version.
Succulent, mildly charred and tender through; the marinate was deeply penetrated into every myofibril possible! This Char Siew burger was orgasmic!
I had a portion of blue cheese patty too. Acquired taste too, and I love it! Hint of blue cheese infused in the finely minced beef patty, one word - SHIOK!
Overall, each of us had to spend about $30 for a lunch, but the quality and creativity justified its value.

Full Review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/802-tampines-famous-rojak-delicious-mess

First post about Rojak, but definitely not my first try on this local delicacy! This delicious mess is a traditional fruit and vegetable salad dish commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The term "rojak" is Malay for mixture and is commonly a toss of beansprouts, greens, tau pok (or deep-fried soybean cake), you tiao (crispy long strip of fried flour), pineapple, cucumber, and a generous sprinkle of finely chopped roasted peanuts with a fermented prawn paste sauce.
Alternative to the traditional rojak will be the you tiao rojak. As the name suggests, this is for people who wants enjoy the taste of the paste, but only tossed with you tiao and tau pok.
I've eaten some that tasted horrible, simply odd tasting which was left untouched after a couple of bites.
The portion of you tiao served here are relatively large and more importantly, crispy! Shiok to the max!

Katong Laksa...hmm...the battle is still on till today (but cordially)! So who is the real mastermind behind "Katong Laksa" - 328 Katong Laksa, Roxy Laksa, Junggut Laksa or Marine Parade Laksa??? To spare the you the confusion, Junggut Laksa (related to Roxy Laksa) is the real original Katong Laksa and was previously known as Marine Parade Laksa.
Here I am, at the oldest laksa in Katong: Janggut Laksa - The OrginalKatong Laksa!
Being a fan of coconut milk based food, Laksa is definitely top of the list. While it is essential, having the proportion is key! I'm neither a chef nor one who experiments with cooking, but the secret to a good bowl of gravy lies in the Rempah (Spice Paste) and I believe fresh ingredients are essential.
Similar to coaching (I'm a sprints & strength coach if you have not realized), there are many good training methodology and techniques out there, but introducing too many at the wrong time and amount can lead to adverse outcomes. In other words, this explains Janggut Laksa's popularity and longstanding in this business.
Truly legendary and satisfying!

With a vintage theme, Brunches Cafe is the newest addition along Rangoon Road. Stepping into this cafe will transcend one away from the hustle and bustle of city life to a realm of peace and serenity. Besides seeking shelter for some comfort food or alone time, feel free to browse through the cafe for vintage items that are for sale.

Similar to ReStore (closed), Old Habits Cafe and Flee Away Cafe, you may find some old school loot during your visit! During lunch hours, set lunch (includes a bowl of soup) comes with any purchase under the "Main" segment. I ordered a Cajun Chicken Pizza (about $16) and my friend ordered Vegetarian Oglio Olio (about $14).

The pizza was dense, dry and hard and the base sauce was almost tasteless. Threading on the thin line before rejecting the it, but was spared by the BBQ sauce that was drizzled over the pizza. Definitely not gonna order this again.

With a nice cozy interior, consistent WiFi and nice background music, I have plans to come back again for their dessert, waffles and coffee. So wait up for my second verdict!

Previously located at Thomson V and known as Oz Specialty, but now revamped and repackaged as Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters (Singapore). It has also relocated to 185 Upper Thomson Road, next to Shell Station. White washed and with a larger dining space, Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters now serves proper food besides coffee and desserts.
Coffee beans are mainly sourced from El Salvadorean Pacamara Arabica beans and for repositioning purposes, therefore the existing name. Managed to get the window seats preferred over the communal table. The much extended menu now serves Starters (All day unless stated), Brunch (9am-4pm), Dinner (5-9pm), Pasta (All Day), Sides and Beverages.
Ordered the beautifully plated Truffle Benedict ($18). Without going into much details, I shall let the picture do the talking. Just to add-on, the Hollandaise Sauce had traces of truffle which boosted my eating experience.
Pesto Cream Sauce Pasta ($16). Adorned with a thick and creamy coat of sauce (perfect!), spaghetti was aldenteand generous cubes of chicken. Overall a delightful plate of pasta.
Coffee blend for the day: Roadster, which is there house blend. Cupping notes: Nutty, Chocolate, Butterscotch, Caramel and hint of floral.
Parking can be an issue, however, it was a good cafe experience except for the pricing which is a little steep.
