Debut in 2003 at West Coast, business of Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ took flight and has 4 outlets island wide today; West Coast, East Coast,GuillemardRoad and Robertson Walk. Despite the craze for Korean BBQ in Singapore, yet each outlet that I visited has subtle differences that sets them apart from one another.
Here at Ju Shin Jung, they offer full services which includes well-trained staffs who BBQ-ed the meat for us and served a full set of Korean sides the moment we settled down.
For buffet, there are 5 choices of meat (pork belly, pork loin, marinated pork, and marinated chicken & seasoned sliced beef) and fresh prawns. If you want more variety, you may wish to order from the Ala carte segment. Wagyu beef are available too!
Apart from meat and sides, we got to choose 1 out of 7 choices as our main dish.
Overall, I will classify Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ as a 'above average' BBQ outlet. Tables are nicely spaced out as well which gave us room for privacy. Oh yes, there is also a kids entertainment corner for your child.

Jogurtz serve 2 sizes of froyo, small ($3.5) and large ($5). Small entails one topping, one fruit and one sauce while Large entails 2 toppings, 2 fruits and one sauce.
Unlike Llao Llao, Jogurtz isn't as sweet, less milky, has a little zesty flavour and has probiotics that aids digestion. Speaking of probiotics, perhaps they have added yakult or simply made from fermented milk which could explain its tangy flavour.
So is this better than Llao Llao? Definitely not as its overall taste and texture is inferior to them. However, its price and place made it special and worth buying after a sumptuous meal at Old Airport Food Centre.

Modern and elegant, Relish is a casual eatery that serves local traditional flavours with Western and modern touches. Popular for their quirky and over-the-top burgers, Relish by Wild Rocket also serves gastronomical pasta and other tantalizing appetizers.
Firstly, Marmite Wings. This creation was brilliant. It did take me a while to appreciate its peculiar flavour. It was salty and tangy at the same time! Unlike those that I've eaten which were sugar loaded, I guess this is the pure taste of marmite. Acquired taste I must say!
Underneath this coat was one of the crispest and juiciest wings I've ever eaten. Just like eating American Buffalo wings, this was the oriental version.
Succulent, mildly charred and tender through; the marinate was deeply penetrated into every myofibril possible! This Char Siew burger was orgasmic!
I had a portion of blue cheese patty too. Acquired taste too, and I love it! Hint of blue cheese infused in the finely minced beef patty, one word - SHIOK!
Overall, each of us had to spend about $30 for a lunch, but the quality and creativity justified its value.

Indulge in American & French classic All Day Brunch at Flavour Fling, a homely & zen café nestled in the midst of Hougang Ave 1. Co-owned by three chefs whom graduated from The Culinary Institute of America (Singapore), get ready to have a fling...with your taste buds.
As starters, we ordered Truffle Fries ($9.9) and Beef Chilli Cheese Fries ($9.9). Personally, I will prefer thin shoe string fries over the thicker version. Generous with the truffle oil, we could smell it even before seeing it.
Our mains were Ham and Cheese Croissant ($14.9), Royale ($15.9), Honey Chicken Burger ($16.9), Ultimate Burger ($18.9), Carbonara ($14.9) & Eggs Jupiter ($16.9).
Ham & Cheese Croissant: Pleasantly crisp croissant paired with what I considered a perfectly cooked omelette as it retained the right amount of wetness.
Royale: Not the best cooked poached egg as the yolk wasn't totally runny. My best experience will still be Common Man Roaster. However, the hollandaise sauce was brilliant. Its creamy texture had hint of zest which whetted my appetite further. One Royale wasn't enough!
Beverages were Iced Chocolate ($6.5) and Latte ($5) and rounded the meal with three dessert: I-Scream ($12.9), Profiteroles ($7.9) and Chocolate Fudge ($6.5).
The pancakes were dense, moist and a little fluffy. At this point of time, I was already filled to the brim, therefore my judgement for the pancake may undermined its real standard.
Overall, Flavour Fling is a hidden gem with great atmosphere and service. Our palates literally had a fling that evening!

Full review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/chye-seng-satay-再成猪肉沙爹-traditional-hainanese-style-satay
Follow Lepak With Yaops on Instagram and Facebook

The stall claims that their satay are handmade which causes them to be so delicious. Traditionally, pork satay comes with one layer of fatty meat that are slightly charred and melts in the mouth when savored.
The mutton satay retains some gamey flavour, which I thought was the key to a flavour-some (means flavourful and awesome) mutton satay!
The key to Chye Seng Satay lies in their out-of-this-world satay sauce! What's so special about the Hainanese style is addition of pineapple puree into the peanut sauce to make it more fragrant and at the same time creates a tinge of tangy and sweet taste. The sauce is so sought after that additional bowl will cost $0.5, or was it $1.

This is a stall that you wouldn't want to miss when you are here at Old Airport Hawker Centre!
