We call this store which serve nice Nasi Padang "The Muslim Store" at Tanjong Pagar Complex. There is always long queue at this store during lunch time. To beat the queue, we will go to the side section of this store which sell non-rice dishes like Mee Rubus, Mee Siam or Mee Goreng and request to top up with some meat or vegetables from the Nasi Padang.

Their must try dishes are curry vegetables, chilli chicken drumstick and crispy UFO.

Curry vegetables - the curry is not the hot and spicy type but a slightly milder version with fragrant coconut milk similar to those we have with longton (Muslim rice cake) .

Chili Chicken - Fried chicken drumsticks cooked with thick chili sauce. Shiok and yummy!

Crispy UFO - fried batter which is very crispy, it usually come in a shape similar to a flat flying saucer and thus we refer it as the crispy UFO. If you come a bit later, you will be left with only small crispy bits which is still very nice as well.

They also serve fried whole fish of reasonable size at cheap price, around $3-4 for a fish slightly bigger than our palm. Always loved the fried fish from Muslim stores, somehow the fish is always crisply fried and flavourful.

Categories : Hainanese | Coffeeshop | Chicken Rice | Roasted Meat

The chicken rice is nice and cheap, you can get a normal portion from $2.

Their oily rice is fragrant and savoury. Both their white and roasted chicken are nice
- steamed Hainanese Chicken is tender and almost melt in your mouth
- roasted chicken - roasted skin is fragrant and the meat is quite tender and not dry

You can get a bowl of soup, nice black and chili sauce to go with your rice.

They also offer side dishes like vegetables, beancurd, chicken liver and gizzard.

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

We had decided to chilled out at Swensens @ Changi Airport while waitimg for the taxi peak period to be over.

Swensens Banana Split
Three scoops of ice cream of your choice, topped with pineapples, almonds and chocolate fudge. Nothing can go wrong with sweet banana. and ice cream. The pineapple toppings add a refreshing touch to the sundae as well.

Sticky Chewy Chocolate
Very chocolatey choice - chocolate ice cream with thick chocolate fudge topped with chocolate bits, cream, chocolate coated cherry and chocolate coated waffle biscuit. You will love this if you are mad about chocolate.

Nice settings at Swensens restaurant at the airport with comfy sofa and spacious room for luggage.

Service was quite slow, had some problems with the ordering process and waited quite a while before our food was served.

Crispy pork belly - nicely fried pork belly which is crispy and flavorful. Good enough for us to forget about the guiltiness of fat pork belly. Do look out for the soft bones in the belly.

Wagyu Beef - its Wagyu beef marble score 5. Its was quite nice, tender juicy with pan-fried fragrance. Yummy!

Garlic pork - loved the generous portion of fried garlic that really enhance the pork.

Categories : Restaurant | Burgers and Sandwiches

Happened to pass by Burger Shack place and decided to give this place a try.
Quite casual and relaxing place.

Their original burger @$6 and top up $3.20 for fries and drink.
Their fries are nice and crispy. Size of the burger is not big but just nice for me.

Grilled Chicken @$7.80
Simple grilled chicken, like the slightly charred skin and it goes well with sauce.

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Dinner)
