A Gantea OK Jun 22, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

We were looking for some dessert at Suntec after a meal. We wanted something light and we finally settled for a gantea at a small stall besides Carefour.

We ordered a Roselle Honey Tea with Ai-Yu Jelly at $2.90. The colour and taste is similar to Ribena, it is supposed to have health benefits of lowering cholesterol and prevent aging. The Ai yu is soft and tasty as well.

Mini World@ St Leaven Smile May 06, 2012

Loved the mini world pastries and buns bakery at St Leaven, Takashimaya. Always find that the mini world at St Leaven is very similar to Four Leaves, only realised that they are actually from the same company recently.

Little Choco Croissant, pepper bacon, little sausage roll are among our favourite. You will like the chocolate croissant if you like sweet food.

On top of the sausage roll and pepper bacon, there is always a small patch of creamy mayonnaise like which we really loved. How I wish that there is a bread filled with all these creamy mayonnaise like filling.

Bread @BreadTalk Smile May 06, 2012

One of our favourites is the cheese hot dog bread at Bread Talk. Loved the fragrant and flavourful oven baked cheese flakes on top of the bread, which really complement the soft bread and meaty hot dog taste.

My colleague's 3 year old daughter can actually differentiate bread talk's hot dog bread from the other bakery and she only wants the hot dog bun from Break Talk!

Also like the rise and shine creation from Bread Talk. It provides the convenience and yet satisfied our requirement of buttered bread, ham and sunny side up for breakfast lol

Dessert@ Coffee Club Smile May 01, 2012

After dinner, we had Muddy Mud Pie as dessert at Coffee Club to complete the meal.

Muddy Mud Pie is chef recommended signature dessert of coffee club. It came with cappuccino and chocolate ice cream on top of a nice Oreo base. The mud pie was topped with a generous portion of chocolate fudge.

More photos available at http://monsoontravel.blogspot.com.

The frozen mud pie was really hard and we had some difficult getting our fork through the pie. We had to slowly savour it while waiting for it to unfreeze under room temperature.

We were seated at a table just besides the door that opens to their alfresco dinning area. The cold air will gush out from the restaurant to the outside every time the waiter open the door, which was quite disturbing. Avoid that table if possible.

Service was slow and we have to wait quite long to settle the payment.

Dumplings @Tong Xing Ju Smile Apr 24, 2012

We had been patronizing this stall at Mei Ling road for quite some time. We had always like their fried dumpling (Guo Tie) and Hor Fun.

This time we had decided to try something different. We got steamed dumplings at $6 (12 pieces) and Hot and Sour soup at $3.

Best to have their steamed dumplings fresh when its still "juicy" with the soup in the dumplings. You can choose to dip the dumplings in the ginger vinegar or chilli sauce provided.

Their Hot and Sour soup was quite nice as well, not overly sour or spicy. It goes well with the steamed dumplings.
