Dinner @ Bakerzin OK Apr 22, 2012

Categories : Bakery

Dinner @ Northpoint's Bakerzin - it wasn't really crowded for a dinner time... guess maybe ppl only come here after dinner for some desserts...

ordered the Spicy Tuna Pasta, Spaghetti was good, didnt expect the pasta is topped with deep fried mini shrimps because the waitress did not highlight to me it comes with shrimps, was a bit upset because i don't really take shrimps.... and the menu should have clearly indicated that it contain shrimps (some ppl are allergy to shrimp) overall taste quite ok, $12.90++)

Grilled Cod Fish with Mashed Potatoes (Portion of Cod fish is really small and taste quite ok only because it taste like it is over-grilled, but personally feel that it is too overprice although it is BakerZin! $16.80++)

Irish Bailey Cream Soufflé, we ordered this after our menu since we don't feel full after the main course. anyway it Taste great, although the souffle seems to be a little smaller than before... it cost below $10

with the same amount of money... i believe i can find something better to fill up my stomach.

Lunch @ Pu Tien Smile Apr 22, 2012

Lunch @ Vivo City's Food Republic's Pu Tien with colleagues, they having some ala carte "take-away" promotion going on... meaning that you can order but you can't consume within the Pu Tien compound... you can only collect the food and eat in other corners of Food Republic...

Tried the Xin Hua Mee Fen (Take-away Promo $5.90! Can try, a bit dry for my liking only.. maybe this is the Xin Hua style? anyway for the promo price I don't mind try again though.

Steamed Bun (水煎包)$1.50 each, quite chewy the bun, fillings is nice and rich too! can buy as snacks after lunch...

the Sweet potatoes Pan Cake is Very very nice, the filling inside taste like 年糕 although it is sweet potatoes.

the Xin Hua Mee Sua totally in LOVE with IT... great taste, and portion is huge... can be shared by two person actually... ingredients inside also very nice...

Lunch @ Tiong Bahru's Loo's Hainanese Curry Rice - Despite them having a grade 'C' for cleanliness, so many people still queue and buy from them! (prepare some tissue to wipe their utensils... For the amount of food we (3pax) ordered, the total cost was about $21, so about $7 per pax)

Braised Pork Belly (One of the best Pork Belly I have tried, it got the Q~ Q~ texture)

Pork Chop Cutlet (One of the Must Order Dish, crispy outside, love the tomato gravy! Just tastes good! Not too sweet, not too sour.)

Curry Chicken (Chicken not over cooked, potatoes soft enough)

Asam Curry Shrimp (only give 4 piece for three people! Maybe because they're using bigger shrimps)

Cabbage with dong fen (Not very nice, just normal, personally prefer the one from Pasir Panjang)

I will recommend going in a group... so that you can order all the dishes, and try every kind of dish they have that day..

Don't be surprised that some customers actually queue and just buy and pack away their pork chop cutlet to bring home...

Lunch @ Qiji Smile Apr 22, 2012

Categories : Singaporean

Lunch @ Tiong Bahru's Qi Ji - it is on the level 3 of Tiong Bahru Plaza...

A small store with about 20 pax capacity... during lunch time can be very occupied... Qiji is quite well known for it's Local Malay dishes like Mee Siam, Nasi Lemak etc...

Today, I felt like eating little.. so I ordered the Popiah instead of my usual Mee Siam. Nice nice, at only $2, the popiah is filled with ingredients...

shared the fruit Rojak with my colleagues... it is quite nice. Fried dough is very crispy, and they added the green apple slice in the rojak too.. made it very refreshing... and it is just for $3.50 with such big serving...

I went on having their Chee Cheong Fun (very smooth and nice)

From my past experience.... Qi ji's food has been quite consistent even though they appear to be franchised.

Categories : Taiwanese | Noodles

Lunch @ Vivo City's Xi Men Ding (Taiwan Cuisine) with colleagues, place is quite nice to hangout or have a good lunch with colleagues.

Taiwan Style Braised Minced Pork with Rice (Generous with Minced pork, it taste really good like minced meat in rice dumplings, $8.50++) MUST TRY!!!

Xin Zhu Fried Bee HoOn (Very nice, moist enough, $8.90++) MUST TRY!

Taiwan Spicy Braised Beef Noodles (Portion quite big, beef and noodles is nice!, $9.90++) MUST TRY!!

Mei Choy Pork Belly Noodles (pork belly was ok, would prefer the gravy to be more rice, $9.20) Can Try!!!

overall, all four dishes are worth trying... depending on your mood for which type of food/noodles..

Food here is way better than any other Hong Kong Cafes
