Lunch @ Ikea Smile Apr 22, 2012

Lunch @ Alexandra's Ikea with Colleagues - Ikea cafe during lunch time is always very packed... long queue as usual... ample of seats but for a big group that have more than 4pax, it's quite hard to find seats... as there are limited number of grouped seats around... today there is something new on the menu...

Crispy crumbles fish with Creamy Sauce and Potatoes and Carrots (Fish tastes quite good, but the sauce is a bit bland)

Curry Chicken Curry with rice and bread (Curry's taste has a very Indian-styled taste, good that the potatoes are very soft, but the bread is a bit too hard)

Of course... not to forget to mention about their wings... as usual, it is a must order when you are at Ikea Cafe... they are Finger Licking Good... but just that they're a little bit too oily, that's all...

Lunch @ Beppu Menkan OK Apr 22, 2012

Lunch @ Tiong Bahru Plaza's Beppu Menkan with my colleague...

was there around 12pm.. not many people there... the last time I was here was about 2 years back... place was pretty much the same.. nothing changed... menu is still the same...

quite quiet today for lunch.. the last time I was here, it was almost full house...

ordered their Unagi Spicy Ramen (Unagi portion is quite huge, but the taste of the soup cannot make it, totally taste like just water with added chilli powder) later we found out that they recently changed chef... maybe that's the reason why the standard dropped...

and shared Crab Meat Potatoes Cake (Very very nice, the potatoes paste inside the crispy cake is smooth and creamy) this is a must try... highly recommended by my colleague to me...
Ok only...

Dinner @ Breko Cafe OK Apr 22, 2012

Dinner @ Holland Village's Breko Cafe -

a quiet place for dinner if you are there early on weekdays... i was there around 630pm..

the place is still quite empty... for those who want to catch some sports channel and want to have dinner at the same time.. this is a place for you to be... you can meet up with your soccer or tennis friends to sit down together and eat and watch your favourite sports together. They serve alcoholic beverage too..

Jumbo Sausage with Garden Salad and Criss-Cross Fries ($13.90) i love the criss cross fries... cripsy... the jumbo sausage was what i expected... it is not so JUMBO... and it is not really juicy like other german sausage...

Chicken Cordon Bleu with Potato Salad and Mashed Potatoes ($14.50) chicken was quite nicely fried... don't like the thick creamy dressing over the chicken... made it a bit too soft... but the mashed potatoes were really good... it wasn't really totally mashed but there were still little pieces of potato bits...

Overall, I feel that the sides are better than the main dish...

Lunch @ Lor Mee 178 OK Apr 21, 2012

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Lunch @ Tiong Bahru Market's Lor Mee 178 - took a cab from office @ Alexandra Road to Tiong Bahru, wanting to try this so called Very Famous and Highly Recommended Lor Mee..

Am a LOR MEE lover... whenever i go out for lunch at any place, if they sell lor mee i will try...

Lor Mee for $2.50 only (I don't like the fried ingredient, taste very soggy, and the sauce wasn't great thought. so overall was pretty disappointed despite this store was so highly recommended by so many friends, and even by the media (TV shows and Newspaper) but i just find it normal... but if you want to find cheap food to just fill up ur stomach.. this is a right choice.

totally not worth of queuing too...
Normal..

Normal..

Dinner @ Gurney Drive Restaurant Cry Apr 21, 2012

Categories : Malaysian | Halal

Dinner @ Ang Mo Kio's Gurney Drive Restaurant - was very excited to visit this place and try it when i passby the restaurant twice before.

So here i am today to try it... but guess what...

Prawn noodles (Although I don't take prawn noodle often, but the soup base tasted quite good!) prawn quite big, pork ribs and fish cake is just nice..

But the Lor Mee was really a big disappointment experience for me. Worst Lor Mee I ever had before.... i dont know what i am eating... and barely a few mouth i gave up the whole bowl...

service was also so so only...

Don't think i will be back for more... sorry.
Ok lar...
