After you ordered, they will start to cook it on the spot using Traditional Charcoal heat. The Chicken wings are very crispy on the outside but with each bite, you will be able to taste that very nice tender and juicy meat. Highly recommended and ask for more lime for the Chicken wings, it will taste even better.

The auntie is the one who take orders for either Fried or BBQ chicken. She is very friendly and serve the dishes to you unlike others which needs you to be standing there to wait for self collection of your meal.

If you wish to eat these BBQ Chicken wings, best time to go is around 6 to 7pm as after that, most of the time, BBQ Chicken Wings will be sold out.

If you wish to have a nice bowl of OX fish slice bee hoon for meal, you should head over to Teban Garden where you will find a zi char restaurant called Chop Lian Hin.

Parking is not an issue as there are a lot of parking space over there but to park infront of the restaurant, you need to know how to parallel parking.

This restaurant is actually a old type of small Zi Char stall located below a neighborhood HDB (Corner side next to indian stall) and normal look of it, you will not think of anything nice at this place but you never know that this is one of the better OX fish slice Bee Hoon from what I have eaten as they are not stingy with their OX.
Nice milky soup base

OX Fish Slice Bee Hoon @ $6.50

As you can see, the fish slice given is very big and the milky based soup is very nice with strong OX mixed together with it. I am not a soup type of person but I am able to drink almost all the soup of my bowl.

This restaurant is located near SIM University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic so if you are to take public bus, stop at the bus stop next to Ngee Ann Polytechnic before walking over to the restaurant. Free parking if you are using private car. You will be able to see the signboard of the restaurant at the entrance so it is actually not hard to find it if you open your eyes.

Please be early if you want to eat their famous “Paper Wrapped Chicken” as if you are reaching in the evening, you might not be able to eat it as it is normally sold out by then.

Paper Wrapped Chicken

This is the famous Paper Wrapped Chicken which up till now (I have eaten quite a few places with paper wrapped chicken dish) no restaurant in Singapore can compare with this restaurant.

Even though the outside looks very oily, the inside is not oily at all, to be more specific, inside is more on the original taste and juicy of their special ingredients. Taste wise, it is very tender and juicy and if one person just saw it meat, nobody will know it have been deep fried before.

Price is the more you ordered, the cheaper it will get from 10 for $12 / 15 @ $15 / 24 @ $24, / 36 @ $35.50 up till 60 @ $58.00
Fried Rice @ $8.00

Fried Rice @ $8.00

Overnight rice are being fried together with some vegetables, eggs, and luncheon meat with some other ingredients which makes the rice very puffy and nice. Great to be taken together with the side dishes.
Mushroom Soup @ $12.00 / $25.00

Mushroom Soup @ $12.00 / $25.00

A few types of mushroom are being boiled together with some chicken legs and some herbal which enhance the overall taste of the soup. For one person who do not really drink soup, this is one soup that I do not mind drinking a second helping. Taste wise, ofcourse there is mushroom taste but you can also taste that little bit of nice chicken soup base.
Butter Prawns @ $28.00

Butter Prawns @ $28.00

The prawns are very fresh and they are mixed with some sea salt while cooking it so actually, it does not really looked like butter prawns which should be more oily type. A nice and interesting dish which I am not able to find it in other places.
Fried Cuttlefish @ $12.00

Fried Cuttlefish @ $12.00

Their fried cuttlefish is very tender unlike those in other places where you need more time to chew and eat the cuttlefish. Added together with their sour sauce, it is just nice to eat as a snack or as a side dish to your rice or noodles
Oyster Sauce Noodles @ $3.00 / $8.00

Oyster Sauce Noodles @ $3.00 / $8.00

There is a bee hoon version of this too. Noodles are fried with oyster sauce and topped with some vegetables but still have that QQ chewing feeling. This is best eaten with the juice from the paper wrapped chicken which makes the overall taste of the noodles to be better.

I have been to Skinny Pizza for a few times and I am still not tired of having my meals over here. Located conveniently over at Raffles City walking distance from City Hall MRT station, there will be always a huge crowd of people queuing up for their meals in the few restaurant over in Raffles City and Skinny Pizza for one will always be in long queue.

Even though the staff are very busy, they are always trying their best to serve all the customers having their meals in the restaurant, they are still very friendly and organized in bringing customer to their tables, take orders, serve dishes out to the correct tables and to clear the tables once the customer leave the restaurant. They even greet customer when they come or leave the restaurant which I felt is a good practice which all restaurant should do.

Anyway, we started to order our dishes and here are the ones we had for dinner:

Squid Ink Pizza @ $25

I felt that one should not consider eaten at skinny pizza restaurant if you have never order their famous squid ink pizza. This is the dish which I will confirmed order once I am there for a meal as it is very special and all the ingredients really mixed together so well that you simply loves it. (Not for those who are scare of eating squid ink) The taste itself is a bit sweet with mixture if different things on the squid ink pizza base.
Great! but not as great as Squid Ink Pizza

Great! but not as great as Squid Ink Pizza

The English Breakfast Pizza @ $24

Though from my view, this is not as special as Squid Ink Pizza, overall taste is still not bad with tomato, egg and etc. Good to try out if you wish to try other pizza from their menu.

1/4 Metre Long Sausage (Chicken) @ $6

As there are only 4 of us (3 girls and 1 guy), we do not wish to eat too full so we decided to eat 1/4 meter long chicken sausage instead of 1 meter long ($22) or the 1/2 meter long ($12) sausages. Their sausages are nicely done with some spices ingredients in it. It is being served in a pan with some greens veg and mustard sauce. (A bit salty but still nice to eat)

Kampong Glam – One of the must try drinks. Very refreshing to your throat.

A very interesting concept where they used some olden days metal cup for the drinks.

This drink is made up of Japanese Cucumber mixed with some mint leaves and lemon juice for enhancing the taste of this drink (Might have more ingredient which I not sure). Taste wise, you will feel very sour then a bit of bitterness and with an after taste of some nice sweet feeling. A very nice drinks which seems nice to try out if you are there.

Ootoya Japanese Restaurant” located at Orchard Central. This restaurant is nicely designed as they make used of their area well even though they do not have much space for usage.
Sumitoridon @ $11.50 (Alacarte) / $14.50 (Set)

Sumitoridon @ $11.50 (Alacarte) / $14.50 (Set)

Sumitoridon description on the menu is “Rice bowl with charcoal grilled chicken & Sweet sauce” with information on how much calories you are getting if you are to order this dish.

Very considerate of this restaurant to provide this information as Singaporean are all going toward a healthy diet and these information will sure be very helpful to all people especially those who are looking out on how much Calories they are taking.

The overall taste of this dish is nice but I think the meat are a bit tough and it the sauce is not really nice.
Torisalad @ $13.00 (Alacarte) / $18.00 (Set)

Torisalad @ $13.00 (Alacarte) / $18.00 (Set)

Charcoal Grilled Chicken Salad with Basil Sauce

This dish is being served using a large tray with nice presentation to make our stomach asking when to start eating it. For calories wise, it is 567kcal for alacarte and 863kcal for set meal (Unlimited serving of white or Gokoku rice for set meal). I love the way they mix salad together with the grilled chicken meat as I love to eat salad too.

As mentioned earlier, I think the overall taste is nice due to their skill in mixing the sauce and for this dish, the salad and sauce helped to enhance the overall taste. For the grilled chicken, I hope they can make it more tender and juicer in future as the texture is a bit too tough in my opinion.
Tori Nikomi @ $12.00 (Alacarte) / $17.00 (Set)

Charcoal Grilled Chicken with red Vinegar
I really think the chef of this restaurant really knows how to make nice sauce as they really helps to enhance the overall taste of their dishes. The red vinegar sauce is a bit sourish but compensate the plain chicken taste which makes this very nice to go with their white or Gokoku rice (I eaten 2 bowls of rice which I rarely do so) and their eggs are nicely done too. Good job for the chef.

White and Gokoku Rice

White and Gokoku Rice

The difference between White Rice and Gokoku rice. Gokoku rice is a combination of brown rice, barley, black sesame, and corn which contains great vitamins, minerals and vegetable fibre that our body needs. (Enlarged from image)
The differences of calories:
White Rice - 252 Kcal
Gokoku Rice - 244 Kcal
