IMO, this cafe is kinda overrated.
Sure it's cheap(er than others), but I don't feel like it was worth my visit.
That said, I didn't order any lattes from there la, so....perhaps their lattes would make it worthwhile?
Ordered the Marmite toast with poached egg.Oh my, it was soooo salty, I left a mouth of the bread on the plate :X
I love Marmite when I was young, I love it in my porridge and on my toast.
But this was soo salty, I just couldn't stomach it...furthermore, the toast was pretty small.
Bf had a bite of it and cringed - Marmite isn't his thing (he's like a frog in a well, he has never ate Marmite before. Huh?!)
Poached egg was normal, and the salad, kinda meh since there wasn't much dressing.
IMO, this plate costs me $4.50 simply because the portion is really small.
But I shan't complain further since it's comparatively cheaper compared to what other cafes price!

Ordered a slice of coffee choc cake at $4.50It was a really thin slice, don't expect it to be a generous portion.
Felt that the cake had quite some different tastes to it: the top coat was chocolatey, hence it was sweet; the centre and the bottom of the cake was rather salty.

Another downside was the lack of 3g and Singtel connection.
Felt as if like I was in Malaysia; no idea why the connection was that bad.
Luckily there was free wifi for me to tap on for instagram.

I've been to various DTF's branches, including the newly opened one at JEM (their ramen sucks man), and XLB is my must order. Chanced upon DTF @ Breadtalk HQ, so we decided to queue for it. Mind you, it was a 20 minutes wait - so weird for a ulu pandan place like Tai Seng, but then again, there's so many office workers there and it was the lunch hour.

Here's my review, skip the mains and just order the XLBs and whatever dumplings they offer. Our mains were so disappointing, the only dishes which made us WOOOO AHHHH were XLB and this Citibank discounted item called the "Spicy Chilli Crab Dumplings". Me thinks, (and my bf thinks), the spicy chilli crab dumplings own XLBs.

Sorry XLB, the spicy chilli crab dumplings were better than you, simply because their juices were so damn yummy + they look prettier than you.
10 xlb wasn't enough for us, because the mains didn't please haha
But I honestly thought Shanghai's XLB is way better, because they had more juice

BF told me "Their dan chao fan (Egg Fried Rice) is really good la", so I ordered it. Turns out, it wasn't so good leh, my bf said their standard dropped. The rice were of course different from the Thai rice I've at home, but I didn't find the dish delicious. However, the rice does look appetizing, being yellowy and eggy.... you know what I mean?

Didn't finish the plate la, because it wasn't that nice. For $6+++, fry these at home man!

BF ordered the Dan Dan Mian.
The first mouth was so good, but subsequently I got sick of it.

Located outside Somerset 313, this cafe is worth a visit if you're in town and thinking of where to dine.
Had a lunch date with my friend last month there during their 1-1 set lunch promotion.I really like the fries, but the chicken burrito was a tad disappointing.
The fillings were not hot - the chicken burrito just feels like a cold dish T.T
I only ate 1.5 out of the 4 pieces; it's really a waste, but I just couldn't finish it up.
The sauce didn't taste good too.

But, I must say the atmosphere there was great for meetups with friends!
Enjoyed my dining experience, and the drink, although my food was disappointing.
I'll be back to try more varieties

Suggested to go Astons today at Bugis+ and my bf had the cravings too.
I decided to order the Prime Sirloin.The Prime Sirloin costs $14.90, with 2 sides.
I chose the onion rings, which I love, and their House salad!
The steak came in medium - the last time I ordered, it was medium rare, and there were too much blood for me, and my mum kept nagging that I should eat it cooked!
Before I went, my mum reminded me to get the beef cooked well. LOL, my mum is a darling.

Sadly, the steak didn't impress today.
I've to say, its visuals were good - look at the grilled lines, but on the first bite, the meat was too tough.
The mushroom sauce was too diluted, onion rings which I love tasted below-average.
The only passable item was the House salad - I LOVE VEGGIES For my bf, he tried the lemon chicken, which we thought tasted better than my steak.
It costs $8.90 with 2 sides - he ordered the mac & cheese and potato wedges (talk about boring LOL, joking)

Not much comments for the wedges, but the mac&cheese needs to improve.
The cheese tasted so diluted, it shouldn't be called mac & cheese, but mac & water.

Overall, passable experience there.
But be prepared to wait for 15 minutes during lunch hours!

Got a $9.90 coupon deal for Pasta + Soup of the Day + Drink which I think was affordable for its price.I love the pumpkin soup because it was flavourful.
My friend ordered the cream of mushroom at $2 top up, but it wasn't tasty.I had the mushroom alfredo, which I thought was average.
Like many creamy base, I get sick of them easily, however I must say that I was able to finish nearly the full plate.
The mushrooms were good though

I would probably go back again to enjoy their lunch specials with my bf, since the ambience was good!
