Decent but not fantastic OK Apr 15, 2013

Hot-Star large fried chicken has arrived! (okay, long ago)
But, its only recently that I got to try it, I'm slowwww
If you've been to Taipei's Shilin Night market, you've known that Hao Da Da has a long queue....
I remembered when I was there in 2011, I queued for this piece of chicken in the COLD WINTER.
TBH, I thought it tasted average.
Back then in Taipei, I shared the chicken fillet with my bro.
In Singapore, I shared it with my bf.
I think its just too big for myself to finish.
Anyway, I have to say that the chicken fillet was just normal.
Sure it's huge, sure the meat was not bad, but the real taste comes from the seasoning!
In fact the crispy skin didn't taste nice when I ate the part without seasoning!
-___-
The bits of bones also made it hard to messy to eat too.
Try it if you havent, but remember to drink lots of water after that smile

Wrong set choices OK Apr 15, 2013

During my school lunch break, we headed to Jurong Point for Ambush.
Sigh, sadly to say, the food disappoints.
i remembered the first two times I tried Ambush I really liked it!

Anyway, on the good side, we had the lunch promotion deal
It ranges from $9.90 to $11.90 ++, which was pretty reasonable.
Comes with soup of the day, drinks and a course
Sadly, the SOD was some green pea soup which I really disliked.
I really like their mushroom soup the past times I went!

Had the bockwurst with cranberry rice set
The fries were bad, it tasted like it was stale!
The bockwurst didn't taste good either.
And the rice......it was just a wrong order for me.

Riders Cafe OK Apr 12, 2013

Categories : Fusion | Café | Steaks and Grills | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

Been hearing and seeing so many blogs talking about Riders' Cafe.
Since I kept talking about it, my bf decided to bring me there
Reserved a seating at around 11.30am - it's good to book for reservations, but it wasn't as crowded as I thought.
Just to let you know, there's no air con.
And, occasionally you'll get to enjoy the smell of dungs. (I smelled it the moment I got off the car, and while I was eating, there was a time when the smell was pretty strong *puke*)

I highly recommend this smoothie - felt like I was drinking some health potion which immediately got me going "OOOH"
according to the menu, it consists of orange juice, banana, berries, yoghurt and honey.

Brioche French Toaste with Berries and Vanilla
must order smoothie!

must order smoothie!

Blackstone Benedict

While the food weren't excellent, it was rather decent.
I think this place is good to go once in a while for the experience.

THE PLACE TO GO FOR DIY PANCAKES? OK Apr 12, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

In case you havent heard of it, this is a place for you to make pancakes - in your way.
It touts itself as the FIRST DIY pancake place.
The DIY pancake making I got was the $28 set.
It comes with 2 flavours of batter + 3 toppings.
Mind you, the toppings are really SMALL.
Judge for yourself.
Our toppings were caramelized apple (3 pieces erhem), strawberries (2 cut into halves) and blueberries.

By the way, the initial waiting time for the pancake to cook was really long.
Until my bf turned the heat up -_-
We also ordered the strawberry milkshake, but it tasted like a bad mixture of strawberry syrup sad

Note that the waiting time was atrocious, we sat there waiting for probably 15 minutes before our batter arrived.
Also service could have improved

This was my second visit to Itacho Sushi, but my first time eating its sushi. My previous visit was to Jcube's outlet and ordered the udon - didn't leave a good impression though.

That said, the sushi were not bad.
Well, as compared to Sushi Tei, Itacho Sushi somehow is more lacking in terms of freshness.
But, it was still decent.

Shout out to those visiting Bugis and am deciding where to go, head to Itacho Sushi....because of its promotions!
Take advantage of the 50% sushi. Particularly, the 40 cents sushi is delicious! The salmon with soysauce is a must order! Sadly, each person can only order 2!
