Wrong set choices OK Apr 15, 2013

During my school lunch break, we headed to Jurong Point for Ambush.
Sigh, sadly to say, the food disappoints.
i remembered the first two times I tried Ambush I really liked it!

Anyway, on the good side, we had the lunch promotion deal
It ranges from $9.90 to $11.90 ++, which was pretty reasonable.
Comes with soup of the day, drinks and a course
Sadly, the SOD was some green pea soup which I really disliked.
I really like their mushroom soup the past times I went!

Had the bockwurst with cranberry rice set
The fries were bad, it tasted like it was stale!
The bockwurst didn't taste good either.
And the rice......it was just a wrong order for me.

not coming back again Cry Oct 03, 2013

Came during the lunch hours, and was served by a friendly staff.
But other than the service, everything was pretty average.

Prices are too exorbitant, for the quality of food.
I had the eggs florentine, $26++

Only managed to clear half the plate.
Felt sick of the dish after 2 mouthful, because of the hollandaise sauce - way too buttery that makes the dish hard to stomach.
The only part I like about this dish was the GRILLED TOMATO -.-
Suggest against ordering this dish.

Next, there was a soup of the day, which was the carrot soup.
Very jelat after 2 mouthfuls too.

Okay, now that I'm typing these, I just recalled they forgot to serve me my orange juice (rofl)

Will I come back again? definitely, NO

It was my first visit here.
If it wasn't for my e-voucher, I probably wouldn't have entered this place.
To be frank I've never heard of this place before, however, it seems like DXE is popular because there was a long queue at the Vivo outlet!
Service wise, it was really good - we didn't wait very long for our seats.
Furthermore, the young staff inside were rather pleasant.
We ordered a few dishes, enough for 5 people - all in SMALL portion.
Managed to clear everything in the end!
Total bill was around $120 - to me it was expensive, given the amount of food, and the quality.

Only main highlight was the herbal roasted duck.
Other than that, nothing to rave about.

We ordered Grilled Mushroom Lover, and Foie Gras Beef Sliders. Both tasted really bad. The grilled mushroom tasted bland, and the whole plate had no flavours! Even the fries were not crispy.

Foie gras beef tasted weird as there it didn't taste fresh - the beef was hard to chew and stomach. As for the soup of the day - truffle mushroom soup; too watery and bland.

For the desserts, had the brownie and carrot cake. Didn't finish even half of it, and the waitress asked, "how's the cake?" Don't wish to be rude, and we just said it was okay... but yeah, you should get the idea that the cakes were bad. Won't be going back again despite the friendly service.

I didn't know their brunch meals would taste that bad, since most that I've eaten were passable.

A total disappointment Cry Aug 29, 2013

Categories : Café | Brunch

"I'm never coming here again (Kith Cafe)", I told my bf.
This was my second visit, with my first being there solely for drinks.
For one, there's the disappointing service.
Two, the taste of the food (at least for the spaghetti I've tried) was bad
Three, the price.
Service wise, I believe there's so much room for improvement.
Sat down and the waiters were busy chatting.
I asked for warm water, but was given a cool one instead.

Ordered the beef tenderloin spaghetti.

The first mouth of beef was good, but the spaghetti was a little too firm for my liking.
The whole taste was salty, salty and salty.
Subsequent mouth of the spaghetti made me question why I came to this cafe in the first place.
Also, the price of this pasta wasn't even worth my money.
Since this cafe included GST and service charge (why am I paying for the service?), the total cost of my pasta was $25.30.
Yup, please go somewhere else for a better-tasting dinner.
