Good food, cheap price Smile Aug 13, 2013

Located at Alexandra Village (near Queensway Shopping Centre), Keng Eng Kee restaurant has been frequented by my family for years.
This restaurant has been on numerous newspaper articles, and even on the television.
Fried youtiao with their mayonnaise sauce is a must order.

Likewise, the pig liver dish was done really well.
Another good to order is the cuttlefish kangkong.

Not a fan of their coffee pork ribs though.
Anyway, food here are decently priced - it costs a little less than $100 for 7 pax smile

Nothing beats sitting in a restaurant of cafe, chilling and chatting.

Was at Plaza Sing, and decided to head to the extension side for a walk.
Impromptu tea break at Canele.
Awesome dining location.
I highly recommend this place.

If I've more time and the money, I'd like to relax and chill in different cafes, enjoying my drink and meals.
Sometimes Singapore gets so boring, you dont know what to do.
Canele is a good solution for you.
Rather price-friendly too.

And the triple choc cheesecake, was heavenly, and its best shared with someone (unless you really really love cakes)
I can't gobble the whole cake down cause it gets over empowering on your tastebud.

Decent but not fantastic OK Apr 15, 2013

Hot-Star large fried chicken has arrived! (okay, long ago)
But, its only recently that I got to try it, I'm slowwww
If you've been to Taipei's Shilin Night market, you've known that Hao Da Da has a long queue....
I remembered when I was there in 2011, I queued for this piece of chicken in the COLD WINTER.
TBH, I thought it tasted average.
Back then in Taipei, I shared the chicken fillet with my bro.
In Singapore, I shared it with my bf.
I think its just too big for myself to finish.
Anyway, I have to say that the chicken fillet was just normal.
Sure it's huge, sure the meat was not bad, but the real taste comes from the seasoning!
In fact the crispy skin didn't taste nice when I ate the part without seasoning!
-___-
The bits of bones also made it hard to messy to eat too.
Try it if you havent, but remember to drink lots of water after that smile

I prefer McDonald's fries Cry Apr 15, 2013

Categories : Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Always wanted to try Everything with Fries since I heard of it.
The name entices me haha.
The image of crispy juicy fries were running around my head.
When I went to EwF at the bugis outlet, it was sooo empty.
Where are the people on a Saturday? And it was lunch time!
There wasn't much people around when I left at 1.30pm too.

Guessed I know why there were few customers - the food was bad.
You can choose your choice of fries with each meal.
Well, the fries are nothing to rave about.
An irony considering that their brand name contains FRIES.
Ordered the pork chop
with sour cream fries
And the cheese burger with beef.
Had my fries in curry

Seriously, I left the shop with more than half a burger left.
The patty was inedible? I was too paiseh to ask them to get me a new plate!
Now that I think of it, I should have done so.
IT'S REALLY BAD!
And so expensive!
I will never fork out more than $10 for this - even Macdonald burger taste better.

Wrong set choices OK Apr 15, 2013

Categories : European | Pasta | Paella

During my school lunch break, we headed to Jurong Point for Ambush.
Sigh, sadly to say, the food disappoints.
i remembered the first two times I tried Ambush I really liked it!

Anyway, on the good side, we had the lunch promotion deal
It ranges from $9.90 to $11.90 ++, which was pretty reasonable.
Comes with soup of the day, drinks and a course
Sadly, the SOD was some green pea soup which I really disliked.
I really like their mushroom soup the past times I went!

Had the bockwurst with cranberry rice set
The fries were bad, it tasted like it was stale!
The bockwurst didn't taste good either.
And the rice......it was just a wrong order for me.
