Great Value For Money Smile Apr 18, 2013

This shop is right next to the arcade but it's not as noisy as one would imagine, so it's actually quite a nice place to have some great food at reasonable prices!

They also offer boardgames!

Yummy fish and chips! It's really aimed at teenagers' taste buds and I really enjoyed this dish very much! It is filling too!

8 scoops of ice-cream!

Hot waffle with condense milk + milo powder and ice cream! It's not as sweet as one would imagine!

Overall, a very nice place to have fun with friends while eating good food!

Ayam Bakar Smile Apr 18, 2013

Categories : Indonesian | Food Court

Ayam Bakar doesn't sound like a nice word, especially "Bakar" which sounds like "Baka" which means stupid or silly in Japanese.

HOWEVER, it tastes GOOD.

For $8.50, nestled inbetween all the "high-class" shops and restaurants, one can have such delicious Indonesian dish!

The fried stuff were not too oily and dry, so they tasted good and smooth.

The chicken was the highlight. The sauce and the chicken went really well with the plain rice! It was not too oily and really flavourful!

I would like to go back and try other dishes they offer!

Small Crayfish -_-" OK Aug 07, 2013

Decided to have a quick dinner at Ajisen because our movie was about to start, however, the serving time was quite long. Luckily, that didn't make us late for the movie.

Anyway, when the Crayfish Ramen was served, I was a bit unpleasantly surprised. The crayfish was so small. I've always had this dish in Compass Point and other branches but it looked like AMK Hub is a little different.

Anyway, the taste was the same, so that's fine. It's still my favourite ramen from Ajisen though not my favourite ramen joint throughout Singapore.

I loved the gyoza though. They're crispy on the outside, the skin did not tear as soon as you grab them with chopsticks, the meat and vegetable mix inside was juicy and not too salty!

Nice Bao and Rice! Smile Jun 17, 2013

My friends and I were hungry after rounds of Jubeat, so we went down to get dinner. It was crowded everywhere and we had to queue for a bit to get a seat at this place.

The restaurant is small and we sat by its side where you're sitting and people would walk along the corridor. Not exactly hygienic and nice for eating.

Black tables and orange chairs, interesting.

The drinks are quite interesting and I like to order those that are special or different. Like this pink drink. It actually tasted quite normal despite its looks.

I ordered this and I forgot its name, I only remember it's number Q13 in the menu. Sweet and sour pork rice in a claypot-shaped bowl. The egg was REALLY NICE~ The vegetable was nicely cooked and still looked green. The pork was not hard and the sweet and sour sauce was great! One of the better sweet and sour pork I've tasted!

LIU SHA BAO!!! They're piping hot and there're only three in one "long"! Once it breaks, the yellow salty egg yolk comes out and greet your tongue! YUMMY! I seldom like Baos, but this is one that I will keep eating!

Opposite of Express Smile Dec 26, 2013
Categories : Thai

This particular branch of ThaiExpress has a "Bistro" attached to its name and we have no idea why because it's not small and café-like, it's got two levels and serves full meals!

As the name suggests, "express" is an overstatement for ThaiExpress chains. Their serving time is notoriously long and this branch is no exception. Being super hungry did not help at all.

Though the service is not very friendly and the time taken can be improved by 150%, the food is good, so, okay.

The Green Curry was shiok!! It's thick and spicy! The coconut fragrant is strong and sweet!

The Beef Glass Noodles was good too! The soup is clear with soft and bouncy glass noodles! The beef is also tender and strong in taste from the spices and herbs!

The Chicken was nice too! Crispy and tender! The sauce is HOT though!!

If you have a lot of time to spare and not so hungry, you can wait in this ThaiExpress Bistro.
