Have Never Tasted Worse Cry Apr 17, 2013
Categories : Food Court

That day, I was attending a training session in the CCK ITE. So it was kind of a "no choice" situation that we had to settle lunch in the school canteen called, Matrix.

The chicken chop looks good. However, the taste did not match the appearance. I've never felt that food could taste this blend. It's got no taste. The only saving grace was the cheesy fries.

Well, it's been quite a while, so if it improved its standard, the students and lecturers of CCK ITE should be happy.

IKEA Café in the East Smile Apr 17, 2013

Having an IKEA on this side of the island is a blessing!
Meatballs

Meatballs

Of course, the first food to be reviewed must be the MEATBALLS. I have always loved IKEA meatballs. However, on this day, when I saw the meatballs, I was shocked to find that the meatballs changed shape and texture! ;_; I didn't like it but I finished it with the perfect potatoes, sauce and jam~
Chicken Rice

Chicken Rice

That was Chicken Rice, the special of that day. It was good!~ The chicken wing is their very own chicken wing that everybody loves. The taste cannot be found elsewhere! ♥ The chilli and fishcake really went well together with the fragrant rice! The rice was a success because it's really close to the real Hainanese chicken rice!

Other specials that I've tasted before include really good Curry Chicken, Nasi Briyani, Mee Siam.

Their malay food corner also serves really nice fare!
Juice

Juice

I love this juice.
Mushroom Soup

Mushroom Soup

Mushroom soup that had a bit of "grass" taste. It's not that bad a thing, but it didn't help to add credit to the soup.
Poached Salmon

Poached Salmon

Poached Salmon, yummy. Fresh fish with potatoes and broccoli plus the great creamy sauce. A really fantastic combination.

I want to say this again: Having an IKEA on this side of the island is a blessing!

Well, it's the sushi place nearest to us, so we frequent it often.

However, their claim to be authentic is unfounded because of several reasons. Like how there's too much rice, the fish not being fresh enough, the cancellation of gyoza, etc..

Not to say they are all bad, there are merit points too. I can always tell when they are putting in effort to be creative.

This particular branch also plays the best selection of Japanese songs from a certain J-POP queen and groups of a certain male artiste agency.

I like their Chawanmushi because it is smooth! There are some unique sushi that I like, too, like the pieces of Unagi gunkan, fried salmon skin gunkan among others.

One suggestion could be to lessen the rice, because authentic sushi does not have so much rice. I should write a review for a certain conveyor belt sushi restaurant from Taiwan, lol~

I recommend only those living in Seng Kang who are desperate for a quick fix of sushi cravings. Otherwise..... XD

Hickory Dickory Dock Smile Apr 15, 2013

As expected from a restaurant opening in Resorts World, they have excellent service! However, the price is not expensive as expected from restaurants opening in Resorts World. It is the usual very reasonable pricing of Astons restaurants with great food! Everyone loves a restaurant with no service charge and GST!

Hickory BBQ Chicken is delicious as any grilled chicken can be! Accompanied by their superb Tasty Rice and Baked Potato, it makes for a fulfilling lunch!

The ambience, decorations and design of the restaurant is also pleasing to the eyes and definitely help to lift the moods of hungry Sentosa visitors!

Crayfish Ramen Smile Apr 15, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

mad Crayfish Ramen is my favourite ramen in Ajisen. It is special and always presented in such a way that it is artistic to look at, as you can tell from the picture above. It is not too salty, not too hot and it has a bit of sweetness and sourness too! All the tastes in this dish can harmoniously blend in your mouth without trying to outdo each other! The crayfish meat is also cooked just right, not too hard, not too soft, with a spring to it. It is really best eaten with the sauce~

The ambience of the restaurant situated on the 2nd floor of Compass Point is peacefully dim and comfortably quiet. The service staff are nice and friendly too!

I recommend ramen lovers in Seng Kang and Punggol to have a quick fix of ramen cravings in this branch of Ajisen!
