Salmon Avocado Sushi Smile Jul 01, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi

The Salmon Avocado Sushi here is amazing. The sushi tastes fresh and healthy and it is tightly packed with rice and ingredients so it's really satisfying. The rice has great flavour even on its own being perfectly seasoned and just sour and sweet enough. The seaweed is good too and doesn't stick to your mouth. The salmon and avocado are generous in portions and really creamy and delicious! Overall a great sushi and not too expensive too!

beehoon Smile Jul 01, 2013

Came here To grab breakfast on a weekday morning. Had bee hoon with three meat toppings. The fried bee hoon was a really large portion and even my family members struggled to finish it! The overall taste was pretty good with good flavour and nicely cooked beehoon. The noodles are not too greasy and the toppings are pretty tasty too. Really worth it since the beehoon is so large for that price. Overall a pretty satisfying breakfast.

breakfast Smile Jul 01, 2013

Ikea has pretty good options for those who head there for breakfast before shopping. I had a tuna croissant which was quite tasty and really cheap at about 2 dollars. The croissant was a little unusual in the sense that it was very very light. It was rather crispy and was filled with tuna mayo filling. The tuna mayo was nothing special but good enough. Overall a cheap and affordable breakfast of average standards.

pie Smile Jul 01, 2013

Pies and coffee is a unique concept that focuses on pairing pies and gourmet coffees and teas together. The pies here are pretty good with a nice crumbly buttery pastry paired with a savoury tender meat filling. My favorite was the wagyu beef cheek pie which had nice chunks of tender beef inside a crisp pastry outer. However one qualm is that the pie is really not large enough to fill you up. Being a relatively small eater even I was not full after eating the whole pie and the side mash.

Jian Bao Smile Jul 01, 2013

The Jian Bao at Crystal Jade is quite unique. I have never tasted anything like that before. It's almost like a Xiao long bao in a pau skin with the pork filling almost identical to the Xiao long bao filling with juice and everything, it's even served with vinegar and ginger just like a Xiao long bao. The bottom of the bao is fried so it's crisp and crunchy while the top still mantains it's fluffiness. Quite a unique snack!
