I was here for High-Tea Session with a few of my gal friends.

Chihuly Lounge is named after a famed American glass artist Dale Chihuly. The yellow sculptural glassworks were done by him. You can find another of his glasswork collection in Singapore at the Resort World.

As you entered the louge, you will find the dessert bar on the left side. By the way, strangely there is no reception counter here. When I reached here at around 2.30pm, the lounge was quite empty. However, "Greenhouse" at the opposite side was already swarming with guests.

Table Setting - As there were 7 of us, we were assigned to the sofa seats next to the glass window. The sofa was comfy but the table was too low for us.

My friend ordered Iced Passionfruit Tea and she told us that the ice were actually frozen tea. I ordered this as well after I was almost done with my pot of hot tea.

Salmon in tomato buns... Yummy!

The desserts.....
"Watermelon" cakes. Nice to look at but non of us tried this because we got a feeling that it will be too sweet for us. We tried most of the other desserts and they were all very sweet which we all didn't really like.

We all felt that their desserts were only nice to look at but didn't taste really good.

Always thought that roti bomb is just a bigger version of roti prata but look at this.

The plate is a normal sized plate and thus, the roti bomb is not very big. It is smaller than than the norm but also thicker. The roti bomb tasted sweet and was really crispy on the outside. I liked it quite a lot. If I am not going to my grandma's place for a proper dinner after this, I would have taken like 3 pieces to fill up my stomach. tongue Cost of the roti bomb is $1.50/piece. Other than the roti bomb, hubby also ordered another prata for himself and ordered a plate of mutton curry to share. This was also very good but cost $5 for a small plate.

Wendy's @ Tampines Cry Jul 15, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

Wendy's had been back in Singapore for about a year but until now, then I got the chance to visit this fast food chain when it opened its branch at Tampines quite recently.

To be truthful, it was a disappointing meal. The beef patty was rather dry and not juicy like what their advert has claimed.
sad

I had heard some good reviews on Wendy's chili ($2.70) too but too bad, this one doesn't suit our tastebud too. It is made of minced beef, mixed vegetables and kidney beans. The beans were soft and I thought Wendy's Chili would taste better without those beans.

Not intending to revisit the restaurant again in near future....

Cedele - Eat Well & Be Well Smile Jul 15, 2013

Went Cedele at Wheelock Place for my late lunch before going for hair scalp treatment. I ordered their Wild Blueberry Pancakes with Vanilla Butter and Maple Syrup from their "Breakfast Whole Day" menu. It comes with a choice of bacon rashers or sausages and I had chosen the bacon.
Mango Lassi ($6.50) I like lassi and especially when it is mixed with fruity flavour.

Fluffy blueberry pancakes ($12.90)

Nice and fluffy, but the portion might be a bit too big for one person.

Ruyi Cry Jul 13, 2013
Categories : Fast Food | Noodles

We decided to have a simple dinner at Ruyi resturant as hubby needed to rush off to work after this. This was the second time we dined at Ruyi, the first time we had "Ruyi" is at the airport before we departed for Melbourne last December.

Nice flower-shaped ceiling lamps in the restaurant.

This is Chinese Fast Food. Many of the cooking processes are done automated. However, I don't find their signature Ruyi Fried Rice very nice. It was a bit dry and salty. $6.20 for this bowl of fried rice is really a tad expensive. Their soup, which come together in the set, was even more salty.
