Categories : Food Court | Juices

We bought a big plate of assorted fruits and jelly as dessert after a hearty meal. The fruit platter consists of:

2x slices watermelon
2x slices rock melon
2x kiwi
2x jelly

Total cost is $7.40.

Fruit were generally alright, watermelon and rock melon were not very sweet, the kiwi was a little sourish though. The jelly slices were sweet and refreshing...very nice.

The satay was very dry, not nice. The fried chicken wings were quite nice, we dipped them in the satay peanut sauce which is quite good.

Overall dining experience was decent, service staff was friendly but clearing of dishes and refilling of drinks was rather slow. Food wise, mostly mediocre. But we do enjoy the Al fresco dining experience and being able to see NDP fireworks while we dine lol

Soupy lunch. OK Aug 05, 2013
Categories : Food Court

This is my usual haunt for lunch during weekends. A cooling day after the rain calls for a warm and soupy lunch. Yong Tau Foo. Average price for each item sold here is $0.60. I picked 7 items plus meehoon. Total bill came up to be $4.80.

The soup base was rather bland, ingredients were fresh but none really impresses me. All tasted very ordinary. The mushrooms and tomatoes weren't even stuffed with any fish paste. They were sold as it is. Not fantastic at all.

Late lunch OK Aug 05, 2013

Categories : American | Café | Brunch

I was with a friend looking for lunch venue at Holland V, chanced upon this outlet that serves all day breakfast. My friend is very keen to try so we went in and got seated immediately. This place is rather small with few tables indoors and another fewer tables outdoor.

After checking out what's on offer on the menu, I decided to have the Usual Suspects $16.00++ and a Cup of hot chocolate.

Usual Suspects
Consists of two eggs cooked in preferred style, choice of bacon/ham/sausage, baked beans, sauteed potatoes, toast and choice of coffee/tea. I chose to top up $2 for hot chocolate instead.
Usual Suspects

Usual Suspects

My sunny side up were done just right with runny yolk. The sausages, baked beans and sauteed potatoes were quite tasty, toast was crispy...overall, a satisfying 'Big' breakfast.
Hot chocolate

Hot chocolate

The hot chocolate drink on the other hand just tasted ordinary.

The service here was decent, no complains. However, I find the menu items here pretty limited and prices were a tad high for just breakfast. I will only recommend this place for fans of ang moh breakfast..

Recommended Dish(es):  Usual suspects
