Healthy fish slices soup OK Aug 04, 2013
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

Was back at Koufu again to fill the stomach for dinner. I decided to eat something light, so I bought a bowl of fish slice soup with steam rice.

Fish slices soup $4.30
Contains fish slices, generous serving of cai xin, seaweed, crab stick and fried ikan bilis. The broth is clean and lightly flavored, fish slices and other ingredients were very fresh...and I liked the crispy ikan bilis.

Meaty buffet dinner OK Aug 04, 2013

Categories : Latin American/South American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Buffet

Went with a group of carnivore friends to have a meaty dinner. Dinner buffet price is $49++, with unlimited servings of grilled meats and a buffet style salad bar (we are not allowed to take photos accept the food on our plates shocked). Anyway they could have told us politely instead of raising their voice at us.

The Brazilian food servers were however quite polite and took noticed of our preferences with different types of meat and came around to our table when specific types were available.

I do not eat beef or lamb or anything cheesy so I had the chicken, fish, ham and pork sausage. They were quite good, I especially liked the oily fish (I think is cod). Texture is super soft and creamy! The salad however, wasn't fantastic..just ordinary.

The fruit punch I had was not too bad. Sweet and fruity..

Food was not bad but service level is low. Won't be back soon.

Hubby went yum cha with friends and brought back some dim sum for tea break. It has been at least ten years since I last ate at Yum Cha restaurant.

Prawn Dumpling
The prawn dumplings are not too bad...has fresh crunchy prawn fillings inside. Skin is slightly thick though.

Siew Mai
The siew mai here is not as good as before...the filling contains very little prawn meat, it has lost the crunchiness it used to have. Thumbs down.

Fancy 生煎包 OK Aug 01, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

This stall was newly opened and had quite a few variety of fancy flavor 生煎包 (pan fried bao) on sale. I bought some to try and also some 水晶包 because they looked good.

The 生煎包 skin was very thick and dry and the fillings portion was too little...not nice at all sad

The chives & prawn 水晶包 (crystal dumpling) was on the other hand very fresh and tasty...skin was thin and soft to bite too... thumbs up.

Kiseki buffet lunch OK Jul 25, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Buffet

Boss gave us a treat after completing a major project. The weekday lunch buffet price is $19.80++. The restaurant was packed with diners when we arrived at 12pm.

The spread was pretty extensive but food quality is kinda 'low end' due to its 'economical' pricing. Sashimi and seafood were alright, quite fresh.

Fried rice & udon was terrible. Tempura & chawanmushi were ok.

Desserts mostly tasted mediocre..

The serving staffs were overwhelmed most of the time and dishes weren't cleared promptly. I wouldn't come back if given a choice.
