$2 chicken rice OK Sep 23, 2013

Saw the queue forming up when I am scouting for food decided to join in the queue to check out the food! Notice the board showing the chicken rice cost only $2 it is really cheap as compare to some other stall. Beside chicken rice thery are also selling Oyster Sauce Chicken hor fun and also chicken laksa.

Chicken rice was consider big portion to me and I also add on an egg as well chicken fats was found in my chicken which usually I dun like. Some say chicken breast not nice as was very tough over here the breast meat was very soft, I find the rice was not fragrance enough but their white raddish soup was not so bad. My sis-in-law having the laksa commented that the tao pok and thick bee hoon was quite tough maybe they did not cook very long for it!

Came across this bakery when doing visiting at SGH. So I bought some food so that can be our breakfast the next day. I bought a mini egg tart to try one mouth and that it ... that is how small it is. Crust was rather hard but but the egg filling was quite smooth and soft quite nice.

Baby wanted the rainbow series old school kind of butter cake... cake was quite rough not very smooth overall still ok as it was not really sweet. Pandan chiffon and orange chiffon was round not very smooth kinda sweet. Mini hotdog buns quite decent. Overall still not so bad!

BBQ OK Sep 21, 2013

My cousin have a staycation at MBS so we walked over to Satay By The Bay to have dinner after the swim. At around 9+pm most of the stall started to close already and over there I saw the very old school BBQ steamboat was back there! We didn't have that but ordered some zi char instead. BBQ stingray, fried rice, omelette and kangkong were the dishes we ordered from Boon Tat BBQ.

Kangkong was very salty and oily not very spicy, fried rice was oily too at the bottom but was quite nice. BBQ Stingray was quite ok very fresh and meat was thick. Omelette was quite good the kids loving it! Overall still ok will back for more to try out other dishes from them!

Cuttie Panda Bao OK Sep 19, 2013

After visiting Kai Kai & Jia Jia, will sure passby Mama Panda Kitchen the restaurant will attract not only children but a big child like me to go in. Cos the Panda bao look really so cute and the signage outside the restaurant show only 200 pieces made per day while stocks last!

Beside bao they have other food as well but we just order the bao to try cos we are still full. Panda bao was $2.90 each and is a normal red bean paste filing. I dun really like red bean paste ... but still I manage to finish one not too bad when it is still pipping hot. Bao was bigger as compare to other selling outside, combination not too bad! I think it would be better with chicken meat filling!

I dun find it nice just spicy

I dun find it nice just spicy

Met up with a friend to have dinner and we choose to dine in Lerk Thai cos is a rainy day so I craving for spicy hot soup!

So we each order a small bowl of Tom Yum seafood clear soup ($5), pineapple rice ($10.90), crispy minced chicken pancake ($9.90), baby french bean with sambal ($10.90) and coconut ($5).

We were served cracker with sweet & spicy chilli ($2) upon making out orders. I was expecting hot soup but the tom yum soup served was warm only. French bean was not much of any other taste except spicy, pineapple rice was good generous floss was sprinkle on the rice with crunchy cashew nuts! Best was the crispy minced chicken pancake but is kinda pathetic small. Coconut meat was very hard to dig out but coconut water was sweet! Overall we spent $63.20 after all service charge and GST added in.
