I have been to Vietnam once with my family before and I can never forget their coffee! I saw this deal on Groupon which includes a baguette and coffee at half the usual price! Trung Nguyen coffee is pretty popular in Vietnam and I thought it was a good deal! My friend and I went to the nearest outlet near our home, Changi City Point ;) We took some time to find it as the outlet is very small and located deep inside at a corner. There were no other customers besides us and so we expected our food to arrive very quickly. We chose iced coffee with milk and we absolutely love it! The size is very small though. As for the baguette, the server took such a long time to prepare it, almost close to 20 minutes!! When it came, some parts of the baguette was burnt The server came again towards us and asked if it was okay? I couldn't believe it!! As I did not want to go through waiting for another 20 minutes, I decided to forget it. I will never try their food again and lucky thing I paid half the price. The usual price at $12++ for the set is really not worth it.

My group of friends and I decided to have a quick lunch before heading to our activities. This Thai store had quite a queue, which led to one of my friends & I to check out their menu. I had the Chicken w Cashew nuts while my friend tried the Phad Thai. Both were so disappointing! There were only so few pieces of chicken and even lesser cashew nuts, it was like the whole plate is only filled with rice and dried chilli. The Phad Thai was so dry and my friend was struggling to finish it!

One of my favourite hawker food is Beef Noodles. I love beef and the starchiness of the noodles in the thick sauce. I decided to try a bowl of dry beef noodles at this store in Tampines Mall Kopitiam and it was disappointing. The beef was not tender and there was too much gravy. However, the soup was not bad. This leads me to think that the soup version might be better than the dry one! This stall also sells claypot rice sets which might be better as well.

I treated my mom to our first breakfast at Starbucks and I feel that the food here is not up to standard. However, the service was good as the lady at the counter kept giving us various options and was friendly and smiley. We ordered a Venti sized hot Caramel Macchiato to share and had the Mushroom & Mozzarella Flaky Sandwich which consist of linseed, flaxseed and sunflower seeds filled with creamy white mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. The Turkey Ham, Egg White & Cheddar classic breakfast which consist of ciabatta-like roll filled with egg white patty, turkey ham and cheddar cheese. We did not enjoy a satisfying breakfast and I guess the next time I come to Starbucks would solely be for their drinks!

It seems like a soft serve craze now with so many cafes popping up every week. After my dinner at the recently opened one km mall, I happen to pop by this little cafe along the walkway outside the mall. 

There is a list of their Signature parfaits on the menu, about 8 different ones and you can also choose to DIY your own parfait! I decided to get one their Signatures which was the Coffee Addict XD

They were having a promo that day and every regular signature parfait comes with a small scoop of their plain yogurt soft serve. Personally I find it just alright as I was expecting a stronger coffee taste. Also, at $9.80 for the regular size, it is quite pricey to me.
