Paper Thosai

Paper Thosai

This indian stall used to be at Makan Bagus, which is located just next block from the Tampines Round Market. They recently took over a stall at the round market and I decided to try their Paper Thosai again. I didn't had a good impression the previous time when they were operating at Makan Bagus as the paper thosai turned out looking like plain thosai. This time, I am happy that they improve their standard and the Paper Thosai is crispy and good! lol

Wanton Noodles, $3

Wanton Noodles, $3

I specially came to Tiong Bahru market for lunch to try this famous wanton noodle stall! They are well known for their 'never see sky' char siew premium cut and never fails to sell out before 1 pm everyday! You have to come really early! I wanted to reach before lunch time but I was late and it was already close to 1 pm. The 'never see sky' char siew is a nicer name for the pig's armpit part of the char siew. There was already a long queue and true enough, the premium cut is already sold out a few orders before my turn and they are only left with the normal char siew. I manage to try their $3 char siew wanton mee and the people behind me didn't get the chance and had to settle with their chicken noodles. The plate of wanton noodles look so ordinary but the taste is superb! I love that the noodles are full of flavour and not tangled with one another at all. The normal char siew is already nice and I couldn't imagine how their premium cut must taste like! I will definitely be back to try their Grade A char siew! lol

Cedele offers set meal combos with the choice of a sandwich/salad and a soup. ($11.50-$14.50)
Curry Pumpkin Soup

Curry Pumpkin Soup

I absolutely love this Curry Pumpkin soup! I like both pumpkin and curry and was curious as to how it will taste like. It gets spicier as you drink it though but it is really delicious! tongue
Turkey with Brie cheese & Cranberry Sandwich

Turkey with Brie cheese & Cranberry Sandwich

For the sandwich, I ordered the Turkey with Brie cheese and Cranberry sauce. There are a few choices of the type of bread you want (Wholemeal, Ciabatta, Honey Pumpkin, etc) and I chose the Rye bread, which complements really well with the turkey sandwich! Overall, a healthy and satisfying meal!

This dish is highly recommended by my friend and she always order this every single time she comes here to eat! I must agree with her as the duck is really soft and yummy tongue
Honey Pork Ribs

Honey Pork Ribs

The honey pork ribs is not bad as the meat is tender and it had just the right amount of sweetness.

We needed a vegetable dish and so we ordered the Spinach & Salted Egg hotpot. I can't eat spinach but I tried the soup and it is quite flavourful!

Red Shakshuka, $11.90

Red Shakshuka, $11.90

The Red Shakshuka instantly caught my attention and I ordered that! It consist of two eggs poached in a ragout spicy tomato, onions, sweet pepper sauce and served with freshly baked pita. There is also the Green Shakshuka (Spinach) and White Shakshuka (Feta Cheese). I absolutely love the combination of pita bread and shakshuka tongue

My friend had the Half Pocket Sandwich, which is freshly baked pita bread filled with Veggie Shawarma. Just the sandwich itself cost $9.90.
Sweet Potato Fries, $7.90

Sweet Potato Fries, $7.90

We also shared the sweet potato fries, which were crispy and full of flavour! Overall, their menu is quite limited but this place makes a great option for vegans or health-conscious people!
