The weather is so cold and chilly the past few days that I keep craving for hot and a little spicy food. As I was rushing home to catch my 9 pm show, I only had time to have dinner at this convenient food court situated at the walkway between the mrt and bus interchange. I ordered this bowl of yong tau foo noodles with six ingredients. I like that the ingredients are fresh and it is quite reasonably priced.

I basically love anything chocolate and this Chocolate Melon Brioche is really good! The outer crust is baked crispy and filled with sugar while the inside contains chocolate Chocolate lovers will definitely love this bun! However, if you don't like sweet stuff, I advise you not to try it. This Custard Brioche look so yummy on the display counter and I got it as well! However, I find the filling too thin and the custard taste was only average. They have quite a range of pastries which are worth a try!

After my family was done with grocery shopping at NTUC finest, we saw Crystal Jade Bakery having a promotion for their bread! I guess it was already quite late and they were trying to clear them. We decided to get some buns for breakfast the next day! Their signature bun is the Bo Luo Char Siew Bun which is crispy and sweet on the outside and filled with char siew on the inside. As I had it the next day, the crust was not as crispy anymore and crumbles very easily as I hold it. Still, I like that they do not scrimp on the amount of filling ;)

My mom likes to order the curry chicken bun from Golden Pillow when my family feels lazy to head out. However, throughout the years, I find that their standard is deteriorating. The amount of chicken now is lesser compared to previous years. I like the fluffiness of the loaf but the skin is a little too tough. We also ordered two side dishes! I like the fried pumpkin at first but after having more and more of it, I find it to be not as good as the first few bites. On the other hand, the crispy beancurd tasted better as you eat more of it and I love dipping it in the sweet chilli sauce!

I love Mee Chiang Kuehs and usually have them for breakfast or as a snack! After having heard of this stall at Maxwell hawker selling the Pandan flavoured skin pancakes, I knew I had to try it someday! As I was around the vicinity, I drop by the stall and bought a peanut and coconut pancake! This style of pancake is the round shaped ones and each cost only 50 cents! I ate the peanut one first and was disappointed that I couldn't taste any pandan flavour. However, as I ate the coconut pancake, I could taste the pandan flavour! I guess the peanut overpowered the pandan. Anyway, the coconut is too bland and I prefer the peanut pancake! ;)
