Seafood Platter for 2, $39.95

Seafood Platter for 2, $39.95

Fish & Co. have many outlets in Singapore and The Glass House stands out from the rest by having a live band! It has two levels and makes a good place for group gatherings. My friends and I decided to celebrate our friend's birthday over here smile They have a wide variety of food on their menu and one popular order is the Seafood Platter! The platter portion for 1 is enough for 2 people and the platter for 2 is good for sharing among 3 people! The platter consist of tiger prawns, fish, grilled calamari, mussels, fries and butter rice! My favourite are the grilled prawns as they are so juicy and sweet! I also love the fresh mussels and the creamy garlic lemony buttered fish tongue

My friend has been itching to check out VeganBurg and being east-siders, their main outlet at Eunos is quite convenient for us!

Cracked Pepper Mayo

We both ordered the set meals, which comes with a choice of side and drink. There is a range of burgers on their menu and I got the Smoked BBQ Burger, which is essentially rye bread with wholemeal grains, oven baked mushroom patty with tomato and alfalfa. My friend got the Cracked Pepper Mayo, which is a different bread from mine, the organic ciabatta bread, and consist of walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. The patty is made of soya and is filled with rich and creamy mayonnaise.

For our sides, we chose the spinach pops and seaweed fries! Both are yummy! Overall, a pretty tasty healthier option to satisfy you fast food craving! tongue

Cute mini cheesecakes OK Feb 13, 2014

Mini Cheesecakes

Mini Cheesecakes

My friend recommended me to try this stall at the basement of Takashimaya, selling cute miniature size pastries! The range is pretty limited, selling only butter/chocolate croissant, cheese cake and imo-mochi. I got a packet of the cheesecakes which consists about 7 mini ones at $3.50! The bite size pieces makes a great snack and it is very convenient to just pop it into your mouth on the go! Really cheesy and addictive tongue

Best hawker cheong fun! Smile Feb 13, 2014

Char Siew Cheong Fun, $3

Char Siew Cheong Fun, $3

There are only very few hawker stalls selling the Hong Kong style chee cheong fun and this is the best I ever had so far! On the menu there is the plain, scallop, prawn, charsiew and even abalone! Each roll of chee cheong fun is freshly made upon order and I got the char siew cheong fun and it was sooooo good! The filling is generously filled with char siew which was super tasty! I really like the smooth slippery texture of their chee cheong fun and the sauce is full of flavour as well! This market is really far from my house but their chee cheong fun is definitely worth the travel! ;)

I have always wanted to drop by the Bread Project bakery after reading the review about them on the Sunday Times! I was around the area having breakfast and finally had the chance to check out this bakery smile

Display Counter

As I was there around 10plus am, the buns were all nicely laid out on the display counter. I heard that on some days, the buns get sold out as early as 12plus pm!

We bought home 4 different pastries and shared them during tea-break! However, I was disappointed that the buns didn't turn out to be what I had expected them to be. All of them tasted quite average.
Pain au Chocolat, $2.80

Pain au Chocolat, $2.80

The nicest one is the Pain Au Chocolat, which is a common pastry sold at almost all the bakeries.
Bostock, $2.90

Orange Cream Tart, $3.50

Chocolate Concha, $2.60

The Orange Cream Tart and Bostock were also not bad and you can give the Chocolate Concha a miss.
