Wanton Mee, $3

Wanton Mee, $3

Having tried their awesome shredded chicken and mushroom noodles, I decided to join in the long queue and ordered a bowl of wanton mee. Disappointingly, it wasn't as nice compared to the chicken mushroom noodles :/ It was really an average bowl of wanton noodles. I heard many people ordering their chicken feet which must be good! I don't really know how to eat chicken feet and shall stick back to having the chicken mushroom noodles next time! ^^

Jap salmon OK Feb 13, 2014

The range of food offered on the menu at MOF is pretty extensive and finally settled on having the Fried Teriyaki Salmon! I was actually craving for either Unagi or Salmon tongue My food was served quite fast even though the restaurant is packed with people! However, I expected my salmon to be of a bigger portion and the taste was just average only. It was a little too salty too but lucky there is the rice and lettuce to sort of cover the saltiness.

Egg Noodle with Dumpling & Roasted Pork, $3

Egg Noodle with Dumpling & Roasted Pork, $3

One of my favourite Singaporean hawker food is Wanton Mee! There are countless of wanton noodle food stalls in Singapore and one of the more popular ones is Da Jie Famous Wanton Noodle. This is my first time trying their wanton noodles and I heard the chicken feet is their specialty! However, I don't really know how to eat chicken feet and ordered the usual bowl of wanton noodles. I like that both the steamed and fried wantons are included. The texture of the noodles are just nice, the char siew is above average quality and I especially like the crispy fried wantons! The soup was also robust with flavour! This stall certainly deserves to have the 'Famous' word in their shop name! ;)

Back to my favourite Jap bakery! Smile Feb 13, 2014

Whenever I'm around Novena area, I have to drop by this bakery!! It is my favourite bakery thus far and I really wish it's near my house!
Greentea Azuki Loaf, $2.20

Greentea Azuki Loaf, $2.20

I love the flavour of matcha and bought the half loaf of the Greentea Azuki loaf (as I'm the only one in my family who loves that flavour). Anyway, they also have other flavours available and the half loaf is 5 slices while the whole loaf is 10. The matcha flavour is very light actually but makes a good combination with the azuki beans!

I have always wanted to try their Pumpkin bun and was happy that they were selling it that day smile I also bought the Greentea chestnut anpan and had both for breakfast the next day!

I really like that this bakery is not stingy with the amount of filling at all! Both of my buns are filled with pumpkin and azuki-chestnut goodness tongue
I also bought for my mom the Coconut De Melaka ($1.50) and Raisin Almond ($1.50) buns for her breakfast! She love both buns and also agreed on the quality and the generous amount of filling! I will definitely be back again! lol

Thai Iced Lime Mojito & Thai Iced Tea

Thai Iced Lime Mojito & Thai Iced Tea

I always order Thai Iced Tea but I felt like trying something different today. Their Iced Lime Mojito is a 'Must-try' and so I ordered that! tongue I love the taste of mint and lime, which was just what I was craving for!
Spring Rolls

Spring Rolls

Whenever at a Thai restaurant, my dad never fails to order his favourite spring rolls for starters!
Pineapple Fried Rice, $

Olive Fried Rice

Olive Fried Rice

All of us actually expected the Pineapple Fried Rice and Olive Fried Rice to be much bigger portion but instead it was like a one person serving. As we felt that it was not enough, we ordered their Phad Thai to share too! I like both the pineapple and olive fried rice!
Phad Thai

Phad Thai

Their Phad Thai was disappointing as the noodles were quite tough and the whole dish lack taste even after mixing with peanuts and chilli.
Pandan Chicken

Sambal Long Bean w Chicken & Salted Egg

Sambal Long Bean w Chicken & Salted Egg

One of my favourite item to order from a Thai restaurant is their Pandan Chicken! It is actually boneless chicken wrapped in Pandan leaf ;) However, I find the the ones here to be so-so only. The sambal long beans were also average only.
Tom Yum Seafood

Green Curry Chicken

Green Curry Chicken

Between these two, I prefer the green curry chicken! It was quite spicy and I ended up eating so much more of the ingredients than the soup! tongue
Desserts!

Desserts!

Ending off with desserts, we got the Thai Red Ruby, Thai Tapioca with Coconut Milk, Thai Chendol with Icecream and Mango Glutinous Rice! The tapioca with coconut milk and the mango glutinous rice is nice! I like the texture of the sticky rice and the taste of sweet mangoes! There were only a few pieces of the real red ruby and rest are like watermelon. The chendol with icecream is the most disappointing as it is basically just the green jellies on top of ice and vanilla icecream on the top. I expected much more ingredients from the picture! Overall, this Thai restaurant has a few hits and misses ;)
