Simple Lor Mee OK Mar 23, 2014
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

I usually eat lor mee at hawker stalls and this is my first time trying one from a food court! I love my 'lor' to be thick, dark and super starchy but the one from this stall is miles apart from that description. The gravy is too light and I had to add in lots of garlic and vinegar to enhance the taste! The ingredients are quite little too. However, I guess I can't complain as it's priced at $2.50 at an air-conditioned food court.

Thai Milktea in a Bottle! OK Mar 23, 2014

Categories : Thai

Thai milktea is one of my favourite drinks and I would go crazy over them whenever I visit Bangkok! I chance upon this cafe when I was walking towards Bugis Junction and their drinks menu can be seen from outside the glass door. As I kept checking out the board, my craving for the milk tea just spark instantly! I went in and ordered that but the staff said there is no 'normal' milk tea and they only had the black or green. I bought the black milktea as I just assumed that was the original orange-coloured milk tea but it turned out to be a miscommunication! No wonder I was disappointed by the bland taste of the milk tea at first. There is a level of authenticity in this bottled black milktea as I could taste the tea leaves but the sweetness level is too low for me. I would definitely go back and try their original Thai milktea!

Recommended Dish(es):  Black Milktea $2.50

Crispy Chicken! Smile Mar 23, 2014

My friend recommended me to try this fast-food fried chicken outlet and I bought their best-seller, the 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken 6pc set, which includes the wings/drumettes, fries and a drink! You get to choose which sauce you want, which includes soy garlic, hot or mixed. As it was my first time, I chose the mixed flavour.
I had to slowly tear the chicken apart initially as it was piping hot! I love the mixed sauce coating on my fried chicken and the chicken meat is moist and not dry at all! There are two flavours for the fries, seaweed or kimchi. I chose the former which was so addictive!

Perfect bowl of Hot peppery soup Smile Mar 22, 2014

Chef's Special, Peppery Chicken Hotpot

Chef's Special, Peppery Chicken Hotpot

Soup Spoon is always the first few to pop up in my head whenever I have a soup craving! I've tried most of their soups and my favourite so far is the Simon Garfunkel Chicken Mushroom Ragout, which is a rich and creamy based soup with generous servings of chicken chunks and 6 types of mushrooms!
Anyway, they have a Chef's Special menu which changes every month and I decided to try the Peppery Chicken Hotpot, which they indicated that it's spicy but I just find that the black pepper was a little too overpowering. However, it was perfect for that cold night smile
I love Soup Spoon for their every changing menu and promotions!

Yummy Crunchy dumplings! Smile Mar 21, 2014

Dumpling Noodles, $3

Dumpling Noodles, $3

As the round market is within walking distance from my house, I have eaten at this popular stall a couple of times already and would never get sick of it as their menu is pretty extensive! They are famous for their sarawak kolo mee, which every first timer here have to try! However, my favourite from this stall is their dumplings! Each dumpling is so crunchy and generously filled, and you can choose to have them in soup or with noodles! smile
