I've always wanted to check out this cafe after seeing pictures online! Having done my research, I know it is located on the second floor and kept looking out for signs of the cafe. I saw the signboard from afar and upon entering, I can tell that a lot of effort was being put into decorating and setting up this cafe.
Cinnamon Cappuccino $5.50, Iced Mochaccino, $6

Cinnamon Cappuccino $5.50, Iced Mochaccino, $6

We ordered a Hot Cappuccino and added Cinnamon at an extra charge of $0.50. The other drink we had was an Iced Mochaccino. Both drinks fail in terms of the taste and presentation. The coffee art on my cappuccino is disappointing and the extra shot of cinnamon was very bland. I felt that the Iced Mochaaccino did not have a right balance of chocolate and espresso shot and it just tasted very weird, the neither here nor there kind of taste.

Overall, the cafe exudes a nice and lovely whimsical feel but they really need to do something about their drinks!

HK Summer Milk Tea

HK Summer Milk Tea

Their iced summer milk tea is pretty innovative and interesting as it is served in a flask with steam coming out from a small hole in the centre. I was initially afraid that it is a gimmick where it just looks good with the taste being comprised but thankfully, the milk tea is smooth and thick! tongue
Lemongrass Chicken Chop Rice & Pork Chop Cheese Baked Rice

Lemongrass Chicken Chop Rice & Pork Chop Cheese Baked Rice

I had the Lemongrass Black Pepper Chicken Chop Rice, and was quite disappointed with the chicken chop as the meat was very little and my plate was just basically filled with rice. The vegetables were slightly hard too. The only thing nice is the sauce. The Pork Chop in the Cheese Baked Rice also didn't had much meat. However, the cheese was nice and it came with a garlic baguette, which was not too bad.

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Coffeeshop | Noodles

This coffeeshop is solely owned by Fei Fei Wanton Noodle, with a small drink stall at the corner. I was there rather early and it was not packed.

It looks really plain when it was served originally and the ingredients were all at the bottom!
Wanton Noodles, $4

Wanton Noodles, $4

This is after mixing. There were 2 steamed wantons, 2 fried wantons, char siew and vegetables. I prefer the egg noodles with plain sauce compared to the dark sauce ones. As I have a low tolerance for chilli, I requested for it to be served separately, otherwise they will just put it on your spoon. The chilli was not too spicy and I mixed it together with the noodles if not it would be kinda bland. I wonder what's the hype about this wanton mee stall as the ingredients were all really average and the wantons were so small! Also, the texture of the noodles were a little on the hard side.
There is actually another Fei Fei Wanton Noodle stall opposite and I'll give that a try the next time I'm around the area.

This is the first time I'm seeing a 'Kaya Cornflake Toast' (2pcs for $2) on the menu and we ordered that together with the French Loaf Toast (2pcs for $2.20). Both toast were very disappointing! The kaya was very bland and the Kaya Cornflake toast was nothing special actually, just the addition of cornflakes to the toast. However, their Chee Cheong Fun ($2) and Soon Kway ($1.30 each) were not bad! The chee cheong fun is smooth and I like that the soon kway is generously filled! Their kopi ($1.50) aroma had the right balance too!

Lemon Meringue Tart, $5.80

Lemon Meringue Tart, $5.80

As I was around Everton Park area, which is practically filled with countless bakeries and cafes, I was walking pass this bakery and decided to pop in to have a look! I decided on taking away the Lemon Meringue Tart, which looked so good on the display counter. The lady over the counter is friendly and noted me to warm the tart for about 20 seconds before serving. I find that the lemon is too strong, but the meringue is delightful and the the tart base is good! smile
