Italian Dinner OK Aug 06, 2013
Categories : Italian | Hotel | Restaurant | Pasta

We booked a night stay at Hotel Michael at Sentosa RWS and as we are wondering what to have for dinner, we decide to go try this Italian Restaurant Palio at Hotel Michael. The interior decoration is simple and cozy.

Not sure the exact name for this bread but its soft and nice. Taste even nicer when we dip in the special sauce they provide us.

The vinegar dressing is nice, sour enough and really make the food nicer in taste.

We ordered a chicken spaghetti to share, the spaghetti is not overcooked, the texture is just nice and the sauce is nice and not too strong in herb taste. Nice.

Seafood Pizza, the pizza crust is crispy and thin, the seafood topping is fresh. I drizzle some cheese powder and vinegar dressing on the pizza and it really enhance the taste better.

Coffee Bean at T3 Smile Jul 26, 2013
Categories : American

We are out on a date and decide to go Airport Terminal 3 for some coffee and cakes as most of the shops or restaurants are already closed at 11pm. Coffee Bean at T3 is open 24 hours daily.

We both ordered the regular sized Café Latte at $6.10 each. A bit regretted after we see the size of the cup as it is quite huge and in the end both of us cannot finish it.

I love tiramisu and so I ordered their tiramisu cake ($6). A bit disappointed with this cake coz I feel the standard for this cake has dropped a little. The previous time when I order it, the cake is a little moist and tasty with strong coffee taste but this time, I find the cake a little dry and the coffee taste is not as strong now.

Hubby ordered the Chicago cheesecake ($6.10) and says it is nice.

Buffet Dinner at 333 Smile Jul 26, 2013
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

I have this group of friends whom love eating and so whenever we spot a nice place for food, we will ask each other out for meals. One of our friend was telling us that Triple Three buffet is nice and so she asked us there today.
The restaurant is nice and clean but lightings a little dim. Their dinner buffet is priced at $98++ per person for adult.

Their fresh seafood counter is nice and it is fresh. Refill is prompt and quick too.

They have wide range to choose for desserts and most of their desserts are nice. Their ice-cream is nice too.

For this month, they have a chocolate buffet counter set up at the entrance. Most of their chocolate items are nice, not too sweet and strong chocolate taste. Good chocolate desserts.

I am a fan for oysters but the service is rather slow here, we have to wait quite some time for the server to open the oyster in front of us. Will be good if they can open a few and leave it on the ice for customers to take rather than asking their customers to wait. But still, their oysters are fresh, just a little skinny, not those fat, plump oysters.

Their sashimi is fresh and is cut upon ordering at the counter.

Mentaiyaki Lobster and you need to queue to get this. You need to be quick as this is snap out quickly. The Mentaiyaki Lobster is nice with mayonnaise topping and Mentaiyaki. But some I think are overcooked coz it is quite hard and chewy.

The herbal live prawns here is nice with quite strong taste of 当归 (dang gui) in the soup. The prawns were very fresh and crunchy

The price is a bit steep but I think it's quite worth for a once a while indulgence. Their service is good and prompt. Ice water is refilled when it is not even half empty and when I tell them which items have finished, they replenished it quickly and most of them are very polite. And the most important is that their food are of good quality and quite a lot of varieties to choose from. Great place for dinner.

Korean BBQ Buffet OK Jul 26, 2013
Categories : Korean | Buffet | Korean BBQ

Andy and Debbie wan to treat us to dinner to thank us for the help during the wedding and we are going this Hankang Korean BBQ restaurant for dinner. A not very prominent place as it is located in the back alley of 11 Mackenzie Road (near little india). The interior deco is simple and open concept. We are glad the weather is cooling today if not I guess this place will be quite hot thou there are fan on the wall and aircons, yes, aircon in open concept restaurant. Food wise, its ala-carte buffet and their meat are quite well marinated.

The Topokki is soft and chewy and the sauce is nice.

Coca Steamboat Smile Jul 25, 2013
Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hot Pot | Buffet | Kids-Friendly

Hubby and me are craving for steamboat and so we decide to go Coca at RWS to ease our cravings. Coca Steamboat is those buffet type and you can choose from 2 soup base, chicken soup or tom yum soup. Both of us prefer their tom yum soup that is slightly sourish and tasty. The steamboat items they have go very well with the tom yum soup base.
Their steamboat buffet dinner is priced at Adults $40++, Children $25++ and Senior Citizen $30++

Check out the list of items you can choose from, they have quite a lot of items available to choose and our favourite items are their House Special Dumpling, Fish Glue, Cuttlefish Ball, House Pork Ball, Thinly Sliced Pork, etc

I am so in love with their chili sauce and I love to add more chilli padi into to make it even hotter.

It is advisable to call them up in advance to make reservations as they are quite packed at times especially during weekends or public holiday. And if you do not want to eat steamboat, they have ala-carte items for you to choose from too.
