$6.40 for main course (choice of pasta/ baked rice/ ... with various sauces (creamy white, tomato, creamy tango/...)and sides(egg/ sausage/ ...). Comes along with drink and ice cream! shocked

main course: pasta w creamy white sauce and eggs

chocolate ice cream

Personally I enjoyed it very much for the food, the type of sauce is definitely one of the kind that i am looking for, not too "gluey", and the taste is just right! And the ice lemon tea is definitely refreshing! Just some note: although some of the staffs look "fierce" as they have tatoos and stuffs, don't worry about it! They are definitely friendly!;)

The Nearest Bak Chor Mee store Smile Jul 28, 2013

Categories : Coffeeshop | Noodles

This store have been here for few years (more than 3yrs I would say) by 2 brothers. It started off not very well long time ago, the soup was abit bland and stuffs. But I would say they has tremendous improvement over the years!

My all time favourite: you mian tang

The noodles are nice and the SOUP is great! Although the standard might varies a little at times. It comes with 2 dumplings, 2 meatballs and of cause minced meat and cost $3. It might not be as good as the ba chor mee at bedok 85, but I would say its probably one of the best ba chor mee you can have in Tampines. However the store only open from morning till early afternoon (about 2pm). During weekends morning do expect some crowds/queue (from about 930-1130).

They do have kway teow and also dried version too.

Recommended Dish(es):  You Mian Tang (noodle soup)

Decided to have QQ noodles while roaming around at bugis

added additional noodles on top of the normal portion, the noodles is fantastic! the texture and "springiness" was just right to me. it comes along with dumplings, cha siews, vegetables and soup. the fillings in the dumpling was generous and was good. Personally I did not add chilli to it,I had the original flavour and it was really good. the waiting time from point of ordering to serve took about 10mins (off-peak).

Spending per head: Approximately $6(Lunch)

Lunch w class OK Jul 28, 2013
Categories : Indonesian

Lunch with classmates and my indo classmate decided to recommend us this place as we cant decide where to eat.

So I ordered Ayam Penyet, as recommended by my friend.

I would say the portion is just nice for guys but might be alittle too much for ladies. the Chicken thigh was good, the skin/crust of it tasted alittle sweet w salty, texture wise was tender w a little hardness in it. Rice was normal. The chill wise I not sure as I am not really a fan of chilli, however judging from the amount of chilli 2 of my friends ate, i suppose the chilli was good. soup wise, personally i find it weird, prolly its some kind indo cusine to have sweet soup? it tasted sweet and wasnt really hot/warm. hmm not my "kind of soup" i would say.

Vienna Buffet OK Jun 30, 2013

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Seafood | Buffet | Kids-Friendly

Decided to try out Vienna Buffet as recommended by one of my friends for a buffet which is more affordable.

As photos are not allowed in the buffet(food collection) sectors, only able to took some shots of some food.

Buddha Jump Over The Wall (Fo Tiao Qiang/ 佛跳墙). This was the soup they served after we seated down. Was quite pleasantly surprised by this smile Personally I like the soup, light herbal taste w mushroom.

Bread Soup, a bread cover with corn soup in it, the bread was good, soup was somehow average.

One of my favourite food, Braised Ee Fu Noodles, this was normal. I would recommend Good Wood Park Hotel's for the best one I had so far.

Yam Paste: YES! this is nice! for those people who loves "orh ni"(Yam Paste) this is definitely a must-try, me and my friends have quite a few rounds of it.

Prawn with Cheese was not bad.

Salad Prawn had quite a nice presentation.

Cakes, hmm i would say that the deserts there is so-so. Think it's up to personal preference.

They do have some test tube cocktails and red wine. As for the seafood, they have prawns, oysters, etc. Freshness was there. They also had fried durian balls.

Overall: Variety wise was normal, I would say their food presentation was good.

Recommended Dish(es):  yam paste,prawn salad
