Being quite sometime since my last visit to the vegetarian restaurant. My friend found this place and asked if I mind to go for vegetarian food. I eat everything basically that can be eaten, I told her.

This restaurant is quite near to Seranggon MRT, just 10 mins walk. It wasn't many people when we were there for dinner. We have 5 of us and we ordered 5 dishes with 1 medium and the rest small. Total damage was around $90. It is kind of the typically restaurant price. So if you feel having vegetarian is way cheaper, I think you are wrong.

You may found that the dishes name doesn't looks like vegetarian but no worry, there are 100% vegetarian, no meat in all the dishes we ordered. It used mock meat.

Great Coffee Smile Jul 31, 2013

This time we were heading to west for Revolution Coffee. It is set up by Indonesian-native java devotee Ajie Permana at the secluded Infinite Studios on Portsdown Road. It is not easy to get there, in fact it can be considered as ulu place, however, there is shuttle bus from One North MRT station on weekday, weekend you have to find your own way in. The setting in the cafe is very simple, you may have a feel from below pictures. It is not the standard table and chair design but rather use some other containers and wood to make the table and the chairs you can find many type. The cafe specially designed a 4-course menu for us at $25 with soup and salad, main course, dessert and drink.

I like the salad and onion soup especially the dressing for the salad - Juicy Mango in honey-lime coriander dressing. Tasted really refreshing with lime.
good

The burger has huge patty, tasted average, it is not juicy enough, other than that it is good.

I was there because of the coffee as I wanted to try out the coffee here. Today they served Reservoir Road by Sydney’s esteemed Single Origin Roasters. Coffee is good so I didn't waste my effort to travelling so far for it.

Prata Craving Smile Jul 31, 2013

Categories : Indian | Halal

I met a friend at Bishan Junction 8, Prata Wala has a new branch at Junction 8 basement, it replaces the original Ajiesen Ramen(moved to another side) after renovation. Both of us like prata so we decided to go in. It was quite full house during the dinner time, but luckily we met some friends and secured the seat.

Murtabak Chicken($8.50) - 1st time I had murtabak in Singapore. It is different from the one I tried in Malaysia, this version is thinner but taste quite good. The skin is crispy and good to go with the curry chicken. Overall, I quite like it but a bit pricey if compare with others.

Must Know what to order OK Jul 29, 2013

I had my birthday celebration here because friends knew that I would like to try the Orni (Yam Paste dessert) which I heard is nice. We went to the 1st shop at Boon Keng Station which my friend said it suppose to be the nicest among the branches. It was crowded during the Saturday dinner so I advise if you have a big group, do always make reservation to avoid disappointment.

We had 11 people and just nice to go for the set menu which has 8 dishes include the yam dessert. Overall the food is average.

Most of my friends cannot taste what is the sauce taste but some of us still can taste it having banana flavour.

Cheap and Good Thai Cuisine  Smile Jul 29, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Thai | Coffeeshop | Rice

One of my lunch options at Ubi Avenue area near my workplace. I am not too sure where I can find other Thai cuisines but great that the coffee shop at Ubi Place have one. It is always long queue for this stall. The food here tasted quite good. I tried their Phad Thai and glass noodles. Every time I am here, I got these 2 items, so these time I was thinking to have something different. I tried their NEW Thai Sukiyaki. Thai Sukiyaki Seafood Soup($4.50) - I know Japanese Sukiyaki, but never heard about the Thai version. I was a bit worry about the taste but glad that I am totally find with it and best if you have it during a cold weather.

One plus point here is they can prepare vegetarian Thai Cuisine for you. If you are not a very particular vegetarian like my colleague, this is one of your choice, simple yet tasty Phad Thai without any meaty stuff.
