Tarts to Go Smile Aug 20, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Desserts and Cakes

Went to fruit paradise before i headed home and got myself a tropical fruit tart and a chocolate banana tart. Apparently the chocolate banana tart contains alcohol (couldn't taste alcohol at all in the tart -.-"). Nevertheless, the tarts were good. The tropical fruit one has many different kinds of fruit on top and is less creamy, so it's better for those who are more weight conscious, as compared to the chocolate banana, which is probably more fattening.

Popeyes at Tamp OK Aug 20, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

Popeyes seems to have gain a lot of popularity recently. Went to the branch at tampines today and got myself a chicken strip set. The chicken strips were easy to eat (without bones) - just dip it into chilli sauce and it's good to go. It's a little spicy as well, which suits my tastebuds. The whipped potato is one of the best among all the fast food chains in my opinion, but the coleslaw is average. good to have for a quick take-away meal or when the cravings come.

Frozen Yogurt Smile Aug 20, 2013

Green Apple

Green Apple

My favourite dessert is definitely frozen yogurt, and yami is one of the best. This yogurt franchise have came a long way since i was young, and the yogurt is still ever popular. Yami serves one of the best frozen yogurts - sufficiently yet not too icy and creamy and they constantly change flavors as well. The green apple is a little sour. Go for the peach or rose if you prefer something sweeter.

Yong Tau Foo Smile Aug 20, 2013

Came to this famous stall on recommendation from my mum (she simply loves it). The Yong Tau Foo is very different from what you get in hawker centres and those pick-your-own at food courts. The gravy is rich and smells good, the pieces and cooked properly and they go splendidly with a bowl of rice. However, when i went today, the gravy seems to be a little more salty than usual, but the food pieces are still tasty.

Amazing Durians Smile Aug 20, 2013

Came to this stall due to a good friend's recommendation.
Durian

Durian

Got some Mao Shan Wang durians since the durian season is almost ending. The durians were simply amazing. This stall is definitely not one of the cheapest i have been to, but the durians are definitely one of the best. Haven't had such good durians in a long while. They are creamy and bitter-sweet with a lot of flesh. Not watery at all plus the seed is small. A definite must-try for durian lovers.
