Billy Bombers, one of the higher end western dining places do serves some really awesome ice creams lol We were having a friends gathering and was looking for some place to chill after our lunch. We were at The Cathay so we dropped by Billy Bombers for some of their magnificent ice cream! I ordered a banana split sundae which was really good. Would love to go Billy Bombers for more ice cream more often, if I have the money.. since it's rather pricey here mad

When my friends first introduced me to this place I was rather confused as to why we were dining at a place where a plate of ayam penyet dish would cost more than $7 when we could have gone to any other hawker centre which sells them at $4 or less. However the first bite I took of that dish really blew all my doubts away. It was one of the best ayam penyet I have ever tasted.

The chicken was crispy and tender and moist. And the most attractive part about the dish was it's chili - which was spicy in a good way shocked I think I'm becoming addicted to this place, and if the price is a little more affordable I'll confirm make it one of my regular hangouts.

We went to the everything with fries outlet at bugis for dinner on a Friday, and was quite surprised that it was rather empty. I've been to that outlet several times already, and I must admit even though the service is average, the food is really good for the price we were paying.

We decided to try The One Egg Soup (quirky name hence we are trying that). It had this egg taste yet it isn't that strong. If you like to try something new, do try it. You may or may not like it, as it has very distinctive taste. If you go for classics, then skip it.

For mains we ordered the Battered Fish Sandwich and the Cheese Burger. I really loved the Battered Fish Sandwich, in which the fish was soft and moist. The Cheese Burger was like the average cheese burger sold outside. Garlic & Herbs fries are the best!! lol

Remember the meme drooling rainbows? Inspired by the rainbow idea, comes the Rainbow Cake. Exclusively found in Le Chocolat Cafe, this small quaint cafe in a boutique hotel sells not only this unique cake but also several other very yummy-licious looking desserts.

I decided to try out this famous rainbow cake of theirs, which costs around $7 per slice. Rich chocolate coating over the colourful layers of sponge cake really made my day smile It was not bad, quite tasty actually. However, Le Chocolat Cafe may want to consider giving a different flavour to each different coloured layer - just to make this cake more premium and exceed customers' expectations!

Desserts @ Paris Baguette Cafe Smile Sep 04, 2013

The fairly hot bakery round the corner, Paris Baguette Cafe has finally come to Singapore!! A french-inspired cafe that has its origins from Korea, the Paris Baguette Cafe has opened an outlet at Wisma Atria. Recommended by my friend to try their Royal Pudding, we went to their outlet after our dinner to try out some of their desserts smile

Their open floor concept was pretty cool, even though there were rather few seats and the place will be packed during peak hours. But their desserts are really expensive. We decided to go with Mango Napoleon ($7.50) and of course, their Royal Pudding – Original flavour ($4.50).

Both are yummy smile especially the Mango Napoleon though. Reminds me of apple strudel from Ritz. The Royal Pudding was good too, a little bit like panna cotta, but that bottom layer of brown sugar kind of spoils the smooth texture and milky taste of the pudding. And the reason why the royal pudding is so expensive is probably due that cute little bottle smile
