Kids friendly restaurant OK Oct 28, 2013

Last Sat, I went to Charly T's at 112 Katong, the place itself is quite quiet and small however they have child play area smile just nice to entertain my kid.
In terms of food, we ordered the specialty roasted chicken with garlic rice and mac and cheese.. The taste is too herbal for me, I do not really like it.
Then i ordered jumbo schnitzel burger, the fries is so so.. half crispy and half soft.. there's a bit of truffle taste but very little. The burger itself comes with bacon, tomato and lettuce.. the schnitzel is not as good as i thought it would be, it's a bit dry..
For the drinks, we ordered red tang (strawberry, cranberry juice etc), which is tasteless.. very bland.. and my hubby ordered homemade ice tea.. which also v bland.. not sweet at all..
We ordered desserts, apple strudel and tiramissu, both are quite nice, surprisingly! hahaha.. coz we lost hope in the food already, but the desserts are quite good, I quite like the apple strudel. It came with (I think it's) coconut ice cream, the ice cream taste is normal.
My kid likes the tiramisu, it's sweet and nice.
So if you want to go to this restaurant, just try the desserts, don't bother to order the mains, too expensive for such taste.

Recommended Dish(es):  apple strudel

Last Friday, my friends and I went to this Once Upon a Milkshake at Maxwell Chambers, the place is a bit secluded, and the place itself is quite small, however there were quite a lot of people there, no queue though smile
We ordered durian milk shake, they have 3 types: light, normal or strong. I ordered the light one, my friends ordered normal and strong.
For my the light durian milkshake, is very thick, difficult to suck since it's super thick haha.. which is also very good, the taste is just nice, can taste the durian smile i think this is just nice.
My friend who ordered the normal one said that light is better as the normal one, the durian taste is too strong..
Those who ordered strong durian milkshake loves it and felt very full after drinking it.
This milkshake place is recommended!! Super thick and excellent taste!

Yummy Bim Bim Bap! Smile Oct 22, 2013

Categories : Korean

The place is a bit secluded, behind Wangs, inside AXA Building opposite Tanjong Pagar MRT. During lunch time it's always crowded, because it's soo goood!!
The place is quite small, can only sit around 20-25ppl only, that's why there's always queue.
They have lunch time promo.. bim bim bap for only $10.
The taste of the bim bim bap is quite authentic, I love it!
They served as per the picture I uploaded above, with raw egg, soup, kimchi, dried fish, mash potato and a piece of orange.
They have 4 types of sauces, the best is the yellow one, bean paste sauce, put it to the bim bim bap for the nicer taste!
It's excellent, you should try it!

HK style OK Oct 07, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Porridge/Congee | Dim Sum

Yesterday we went to IMM, after going to Daiso, dunno where to eat, so we decided to eat at Wan Chai HK Tea Room just in front of Daiso, the place was crowded, but we managed to get some seats.
We ordered the HK Pork Chop Baked Rice, Chicken with Sausage and Mushroom and Wan Chai Special Fried Rice.
The HK Pork Chop Baked Rice was okay.. somehow i'm not certain it's pork.. it's like chicken.
There's raisin on the baked rice.. that makes the taste become a bit funny for me, I prefer the Xin Wang's Pork Chop baked rice compared to this one.
The Chicken with sausage and mushroom, I thought it was baked rice, coz the menu is under baked rice.
When it came, it's like those herbal food.. which I am not fond of..
The above 2 meals came with the herbal nut soup hehe.. like the picture I attached, I dun really like it, but my hubby likes it.
Then the Wan Chai Special Fried Rice I think is the specialty, I saw everyone eating that.
I suppose it was nice, since I forgot to ask my helper how it taste..
Overall, it's okay, not bad..

meaty salad OK Oct 03, 2013
Categories : American | Salads/ Acai Bowl

We just had lunch at Sumo Salad today since my friend wants to eat healthy.
They have many variety of salads with meat, i think most of them are with meat.
They have the special salad or the sumo bowl, or you can select yourself from their display. The display one costs 6.95 for small, 9.95 for medium and 11.95 for large.
I ordered a medium box of chicken schnitzel salad as I love fried food.
I think in terms of quantity, Fresh+ is better, it has more quantity for the similar price and there you can choose up to 6 items, here you can choose up to 3 items and the bad thing I didn't know that we could choose up to 3 items..
So i just ordered the chicken schnitzel salad itself.
Well for a salad, it's quite meaty, it has lots of meat, which I love lol I can't eat without meat.
But I think eating salad only without any carbo (eg. pasta or brown rice etc) will make me easily hungry later.
The taste itself it was okay.. so so for me, the chicken schnitzel was not as crispy as I thought it would be.. yea lah coz it's mixed with salad already.
So overall.. it's okay.. so so..
Oh ya forgot to add, they only have seats in front of the stall, no seats inside the stall as it's quite small and the queue during lunch time is usually long.. people in CBD like to eat healthy nowadays.
