XMAS CAKE Smile Dec 31, 2010

Categories : Peranakan / Nonya | Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

Passed by Bengawan solo , and was instantly attracted by this cute cake in my favourite flavour which is chocolate, so i bought it home.I love the little cute gingerman biskuit and the chocolate coated marshmallow. The entire cake was good, it was not too sweet, and the cake is sponge-like, like chifforn cake.It certainly made our christmas a sweet and yummy one.

I ordered the crispy beehoon noodle. It is refreshing change to have beehoon instead of the usual yi mian. The beehoon is very crispy just like crackers.I love the soup base, it is smooth with beaten eggs. The prawns and vegetables made the dish looked colourful and appealing, and they taste good too.

Jack's place Smile Dec 31, 2010

This is so far the coziest Jack's Place outlet i have been too.Although it can be quite crowded during lunch and dinner time. The service is very good. The crews are all very friendly and prompt to serve you.Ice water is refilled quickly too.
I love the baked potato that came with my chicken chop.
My chicken chop is well done and i love how juicy it was.
I would always request that they give me more mayo and bacon chips toppings.
The side vegetables were boiled with water with no seasonings, good if you are health conscious and love to eat greens.

Japanese Smile Dec 31, 2010

Despite the dim lighting, this place is very nicely done up, old vintage japanese-westernish style. The mini lamp on the table was very nice and cute. The food is great, as well as the service. However we waited for more than 40 minutes for our main dish to come during lunch, which would be pretty bad if you are in a rush for time.My spaghetti was good, i love the balled up potato salad and juicy chicken steak.

SLURPS! Smile Dec 31, 2010

It is rather interesting that this restaurant is at industrial park area.It is not remote at all, it is near to the roadside and bus-stop, you can see it just when you exit into amk ave 10 from the cte.We had cereal prawns and fish maw soup for dinner,Price wise was about $20 per dish which is okay as the portion is big and their food is really tasty.Besides they fresh big juicy prawns, i also finished up the tasty cereal flakes, they were too good to be missed. The fish maw soup is good too with generous portions of fish maws pieces in the soup.
