nice roti prata Smile May 23, 2012

Categories : Indian | Coffeeshop | Curries

I like the roti prata at this stall, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered a plate of brinjal and a plate of mutton curry to go along with the prata. The brinjal was tasty but very oily. The mutton pieces were very hard to chew, like rubber.

Their ice lemon tea was super nice, there are lime inside.

Two pieces of prata + a plate of brinjal+ a plate of curry mutton+ ice lemon tea cost S$7.20, I would say is a reasonable price.

expensive meal OK May 23, 2012

I was craving for indian food today, so I went to Prata Wala at Tampines Mall to try out their naan. I queued at the food counter to place my order. The counter staff asked me if I want to try their Tandoori naan set, it has two pieces of tandoori chicken, a few pieces of naan, a small scoop of nasi briyani, a piece of cracker and some sauces: curry, beans, green menthol. There was a side dish of vegetables consist of brinjal and green chilli.

A number was given and the food was served to me shortly.

I like their naan, it was soft and warm when served.

Their tandoori chicken was the salty version, I prefer the sweeter version.

Briyani was tasteless.

I ordered a cup of teh alia(ginger tea) to go along with my set.

Total cost of this meal is S$9.90(tandoori set) + S$1.80(teh alia). I find the meal expensive because the tandoori chicken pieces were not very big.

Today's weather was very hot, 34 degrees. Even though I was inside the airport, i still felt thirsty. I am one that do not like sweet drink, so I bought a cup of ice black tea without sugar from each-a-cup located at basement 2 of changi airport terminal 3.

The ice tea was very refreshing, a very nice strong taste of the black tea. I wonder if I could sleep tonight after drinking that.......

meringue Smile May 22, 2012
Didn't know there is a Candy Empire located at basement two of Changi Airport Terminal 3.

I bought a pack of meringue for my children as they love sweet stuff.

There are two types of colour in the pack, pink and white. I find that the pink ones has a nice rose smell.

These are very sweet, the ingredients are mainly sugar and egg white. I think the meringue can be used to decorate a cake if you have problem piping nice swirl of cream onto it

Categories : Singaporean | Bakery | Kids-Friendly

I bought two kinds of bun at crystal jade located at changi airport. Big chicken bao and bo luo char siew bao(菠萝叉烧包)

The skin of the chicken bao is soft and the filling is very tasty, chunks of chicken meat inside.

The bo lo char siew bao taste even better. There is a layer of butter like pastry on top of it, the skin taste like bread but more chewy, the char siew filling is moist.
