Crispy and Juicy Chicken Smile Jul 09, 2012

I just came back from Taiwan a few weeks ago. I have tried Taiwan's 豪大炸鸡排( fried chicken fillet) selling at Shilin Night Market .

The size and taste of this fried chicken selling in Singapore is just like what I ate at Taiwan, and they too do not cut the chicken into smaller pieces.

The chicken cost four dollars and if you want to add sour plum powder and other flavour, it will cost more.

This is a newly opened restaurant at Pasir Ris White Sands Shopping Centre. The restaurant was crowded on that day, partly because it was new and everybody would like to try out their food.

We ordered four items: seafood hor fun (wet), braised beef, roast duck and jelly pork slices.

Overall, I would say that their food is quite tasty.

We paid about S$60++ for the four dishes. I would say that it is pricey as the portion of the food is small.

This buffet steamboat restaurant is located at tampines mall basement, a very convenient location for all who like japanese steamboat.

They have a few kinds of meat selection, fish, chicken, beef etc. Only the meat items have to be ordered through the waiter, the rest like vegetables, fishballs and fruits can be obtained from the buffet counter.

There are instructions printed on a paper to teach you how to enjoy your steamboat, and how to mix your own dipping sauce.

Ice-cream is only available for dinner。

This is the first time I tried their apple crumble pizza.

One whole pizza costs $4.60, which I think is inexpensive. It was cut into about six pieces, there are apple slices on top of each piece, I like the crumbs on it.

I da bao (take away) one home after my meal at pastamania, it was placed in a nice box. It still tasted nice even it had turned cold, I like the crumbs on it. They also have banana pizza that costs $4 per pizza.

Just lukewarm food OK Jul 08, 2012

Went there for their weekend dinner. They were having hawker food theme on that day. Chicken rice, roast duck and pork, fried hokkien mee were prepared on the spot. They also have a section for porridge, I love their sweet potato porridge, the porridge was smooth

I find that their warm food was not served "warm" enough, as though they were left there for a long time till reached room temperature. Hope they could improve on that.
