We had the California crunch roll which I felt as pretty good, as it had a good bite to it on the inside, and the crackling burst of flying fish roe gave the usual california maki a nice twist. The avacado roll was pretty good as well, however i do prefer the former. The rolls here come in 4 pieces of 8 pieces, giving theirs customers a choice to have more variety especially when eating in smaller groups.
The chirashi don came with a rainbow of raw sliced sashimi, though most of it was salmon sashimi. But what I like about it is the mixture of sashimi and glazed salmon, hence adding another layer of flavours to the usual chirashi don.
The service here is pretty decent, however don't expect tip top service during the weekends or peak hours, as they seem shorthanded at times, hence unable to attend to the tables promptly. However, food is always served promptly when i make a trip down here despite peak hours or not, lunch or dinner. All in all, it's a place worth dropping by if you are craving for a simple japanese fare somewhere in town.
