Really best fries ever Smile May 31, 2011

Categories : American

This is my first time trying and it is really the best fries I have ever tasted.

I asked the cashier which is the more popular flavour and she told me this one - With beef and cheese. I ordered the large portion as I am sharing with a friend and it is certainly more worth it then the regular portion. We got a set, which comes with a mango/ pineapple juice of your choice with jsut an additional $1.50. We got a mango juice and according to my friend, it taste rather artifical, but i think it is alright, not too bad.

The fries is good. Crispy and abit hot with spices on the outside, and soft and starchy on the inside. The beef and cheese combination is great, as they both compliment the taste of the fries. I would go there again to try other flavours!

Western food court @ MBS Smile May 31, 2011

Categories : Italian | Food Court | Pasta

I tried the western food sall at the food court in Marina bay sands. If a fish ball noodles cost $5, i would say for a dish of pasta to cost $6 to be considered as cheap already, which is why i ordered the creamy mushroom pasta.

I took away, because the food court is super packed. I went to eat in my hotel room instead. Taking away adds another $0.30, and the packaging looks good.

The cream sauce seems little, but the amount of mushrooms given is in a big portion that you will not complain is little. Pasta is neither too hard of soft and portion is aright for a girl's appetite. However, it would be nicer if more sauce is given because then it will not taste too dry.

Herbal chicken @ MBS food court Smile May 31, 2011

Food in marina bay sands is not cheap, so i decided to head to the food court, which also sells at a restaurant price even for normal food like fish ball noodles. What is more worth the money is probably what I buy - Herbal chicken soup with rice. Normal noodle cost $5-$6, and mine cost $6.80. Taking away adds another $0.30.

It is not cheap, really. But i am glad the taste is alright. The chicken is a big piece, but the soup is horribly oily. Too oily for me to finish drinking it. The rice given is a huge portion and it is enough even for a guy to eat it. What you see in the photo is the actual amount that you get when you first buy it. Soup is not filled to the brim, but the taste is really not too bad.

Other than that, price is still too high.

Mr Bean Smile May 29, 2011

Categories : Desserts and Cakes

I am always a fan of mr bean, and i always try out their new flavours.
Recently mr bean came out a new flavour - Double choc lava. Cost $1.80.
It is way higher and more expensive than the other pancake that cost around $1.10-$1.30, or maximum $1.50.

Though expensive, it is rather gd. Not the best flavour, but quite special. See the photo? The chocolate is really like a lava, it just flows out. Try it when it's hot, the chocolate would taste so so good.. However, my favourite chocolate is redbean and then normal chocolate. I would love to eat it every day. Super loves..But them with the set meal, which comes with a drink. It's more worth the money.

Takoyaki @ ion Smile May 29, 2011

Categories : Japanese

I love takoyaki but this particular brand is so so expensive. I bought the cheapest, which cost $3.80 for just 4 pieces. There are others, with egg toppings and also comes with 8 pieces or 6.

It tastes good- cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is abit pricy, but the unique crispy outside is special and it is unlike the other takoyaki that i have eaten. The octopus inside is fresh and the sauce that goes with it is good. Everything seems to be in a good balance, taste really good.

But i recommend to share with friends.. buy the one with 8 pieces. It is more value for money.
