High Class European Cuisine Smile Jan 20, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Steaks and Grills | Buffet

The Food
I decided to try this dinner buffet which serves european dishes as recommended by my friends
I took the braised pork belly, lamb shank & beef tenderloin.
My favourite is the Lamb Shank which is braised to tenderness with savoury gravy.
Next is the braised pork belly which is also braised till very long with the soy sauce. Meat also tender and juicy and the fat meats basically melts in my mouth.
Lastly is the beef tenderloin which is juicy and tender also. Even though the portion quite small but the taste and flavor is enough to make me satisfied.
As for the dessert section, there are way too many varieties to try even in small portions! What I like most are the Cheese Crepe Roll, Coconut Mousse and a very well done Creme Brulee that was denser than usual.

The Service
Service is perfect as the waitresses cleared our plates often and as soon as the food is finished

The Ambience
What I enjoyed most about is the ambience and the decors with dim lighting. Perfect dining experience!!

The Price
Even though the price is very expensive at ($55++) but is definitely worth it for the ambience, wide variety of food to choose from and service.

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try with my family and highly recommended to try !!

Beijing style Smile Jan 20, 2013
Categories : Beijing | Vegetarian

The Food
I ordered their house specialities- Guo Tie and Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Juicy Meat Buns)
The Guo Tie skin is crispy and the meat inside is tender and moist and taste nice when dipped with the special soy sauce.
As for the Xiao Long Bao, even though is not so big but the soup inside is very rich & flavorful in taste. The meat inside is very fresh and can taste the natural pork sweetness.

The Service
As I went on Sun late afternoon hence the queue is still acceptable. The waitress who take down orders also friendly with a smile and also topped up our tea often.

The Ambience
The decor inside and surroundings are very nice and have a feel of Beijing style. Very good and pleasant dining experience for having family gathering

The Price
Reasonably priced at $50 plus for 2 persons for the good service and food

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try their other dishes and highly recommended to try this!

Claypot Rice Smile Jan 13, 2013
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Claypot Rice

The Food
I ordered the $10 Claypot rice for my friend and me. The rice is moist with a smoky aroma, the chicken is tender and nicely flavoured with Chinese wine, and even the usually dry and chewy waxed sausages are soft. The black sauce was given separately hence give me more control on how I wanna mixed the rice

The Service
As I went on weekdays evening after work, the pretty lady boss told me I have to wait for 75mins !!!, partly due to uncooked rice which take at least 20mins to be fully cooked. I was shocked and hesitated for a while until finally nodded my head. For all those going there to eat on weekends, be prepared to wait for at least 1hr. The friendly and pretty lady who take down orders was cheerful and fast.

The Ambience
Although the stall is in a hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptable

The Price
Reasonably price ranged from min $5 to $18 depends on how many people are sharing is definitely worth the wait. tongue

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

Sia Kee Duck Rice Smile Jun 27, 2013
Categories : Coffeeshop

The Food
I ordered duck meat, duck liver, braised peanuts, beancurd and egg with 2 bowls of rice. The delicious yam rice is very fragrant and have the fresh yam flavour. The braised duck meat is tender and tasty with the thick and nice braised gravy drenched on top. The beancurd also soft and can tell have been braised for quite long. The bowl of savory clear soup blends with the yam rice really well and I enjoyed it very much.

The Price
Reasonably priced at $12 for the whole bill

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try the porridge and highly recommended to try this!

Categories : Hawker Centre

The Food
I ordered the black version carrot cake with lots of black sweet sauce and chilli. The carrot cake texture was very soft with nice wok hei. The stall owner fried the carrot cake with the right heat control. The mixing of the eggs and black carrot cake was so perfectly well-balanced as I could taste the fried egg and chai poh in almost every pieces of carrot cake.

The Price
Reasonably priced at $3.00 per plate

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try the white version and highly recommended to try this!
