Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Coffeeshop | Noodles

The Food
I ordered the minced pork mee kia dry with lots of chilli. The noodle is springy and I like their pig liver and soup!!! The pig liver was very soft as it was cooked with the right temperature & time hence not over-cooked which will become hard. Whenever I ordered, will always request for more chilli and vinegar as the combination make me addicted to the taste !! lol
As for the soup is rich & have the natural pork sweetness and seaweed flavour, also can see the minced pork floating on top hence can tell has been cooked for few hours.

The Service
As I went on weekends late night, the queue still very long. The friendly uncle who take down orders will remember what I want because I always order the same noodles.

The Ambience
Although the stall is in a coffeeshop, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptable

The Price
I ordered the $6 and the portion is just nice. They also have price range of $5, $6, $8 and $10 and is worth the money even though a bit over-priced!!

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try the $8 version and highly recommended to try this!

"New York" Feeling Smile Jan 05, 2013

Categories : American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Kids-Friendly

The Food
I ordered the mozzarella cheese chicken ($16.90) and the Devil’s fiery fish n chips ($15.90)
The mozzarella cheese was soft and chewy combined with the succulent tender and crispy chicken meat. The fries were also crispy and salad vegetables were fresh.
The Devil's fiery fish n chips is spicy and the fish meat is crispy with very soft fish meat. Together with a bit of sourness from the lemon and tar tat sauce, the feeling is "Shiok" !! shocked

The Service
The service is good and the waiter there was proactive in topping up our iced water whenever our ice water almost finish.

The Ambience
The posters and surroundings make me feel that I am in a "New York" restaurant and the sofa seats were cosy and comfortable.

The Price
Reasonably priced at mozzarella cheese chicken ($16.90) and the Devil’s fiery fish n chips ($15.90), is a must try for chicken and fish lovers !!

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this

"Cooling" Sensation Smile Jan 01, 2013

The Food
Being having a sweet tooth and ice cream lover, i decided to try Just Acia at Dhoby Ghaut. Luckily I have made reservations as the queue was very long when i reached the place.
I ordered the spicy chicken set meal ($7.20) which comes with rice, kimchi and miso soup as recommended by my friend. Is a must try for chilli lovers!!
The chicken thigh meat is tender, spicy and well marinated. The set also come with free flow of drinks, coffee, ice cream & softee which is very worth lol

The Service
When I reached the place, we were quickly ushered to the table without queuing as I have made a reservation earlier. One best thing is the bill does not include service charge and the waiter there is friendly and courteous

The Ambience
As the place is located at Dhoby Exchange inside MRT station, it was well-ventilated and not stuffy even with so many people. Noise level also acceptable.

The Price
Reasonably priced at $5.90 onwards to enjoy the wide variety of food and most worth is the free flow of drinks, coffee and ice cream

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!!

High Class Feeling Smile Dec 23, 2012

Categories : European | Fusion | High Tea | Desserts and Cakes | Steaks and Grills

The Food
I ordered the Red eye ribs, lamb shank & tomato soup. The tomato soup is so rich & slurpppp !! The best tomato soup i ever tasted
My favourite is the Lamb Shank ($29) which is braised with tomato and red wine, accompanied by whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The meat is very tender complemented by the red wine and tomato sauce.
Next is the rib eye steak, Steak Frites ($38) cooked in red wine sauce and came with french fries and seasonal vegetables. The meat was tender and flavorful in texture.

The Service
What really surprised me is the gadget as shown in the photo. Instead of raising hand for waitress attention, all I need is to press a button and they will promptly come to our table!!

The Ambience
What I enjoyed most about is the ambience and nice music playing in the background. With its distinctive design of chequer Italian marble flooring, golden chandeliers, and white walls with golden frames of red velvet, it exudes an old world charm of the good life with a twist of contemporary lifestyle living.

The Price
Even though the price is very expensive but is definitely worth it for the ambience, food and service.

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try !!

I love this stall when I discovered Isle Cafe which is located at Far East Plaza. Last time I tried the Lor Mee hence now i decided to try the prawn mee pok dry at $3.50 only ! The prawns are very fresh and the ingredients & noodles are all given in generous portion. The noodle is springy with shiok chili. As for the soup, is very tasty and have been cooked with the natural goodness of the prawn shells. Overall is a must try for all prawn mee lovers ! lol
