Power Chendol Smile Jan 31, 2014   (Related Review)

Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

Ever since I discovered this dessert stall and saw so many reviews & awards, I will always buy from this stall for my dose of dessert. I ordered their speciality "Power chendol" as is also listed in the newspaper & magazines review. Last time I tried their Penang Chendol hence this time I want to try their Power Chendol. What is so special about this stall is that they served generous portion of Gula Melaka drenched on the ice-ball shaped chendol. It reminds me of the ice-ball that my parents used to eat and I love the Power Chendol. Ingredients such as chendol & red bean are all very fresh. Coconut milk also quite thick and overall does not taste so sweet. Best part the price is only $1.50 which is cheaper compared to other stalls. The queue can be quite long during peak hours and overall, is a must try for all chendol lovers ! tongue

Wanton mee Delight Smile Jan 31, 2014

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

I ordered the Wanton mee at $3. The noodles are springy and tasty and the fat lean char siew taste shiok with a bit of charred taste. Normally, i will look out for the sauce and chili when eating wan ton mee and this stall meet up to my expectations. Sauce is not overly salty and have taste a bit sweet. As for the wanton, the meat inside is fresh and does not taste soggy or overcooked. This stall also sell chicken feet & pork ribs noodle and will try the next time. Overall, price is reasonable and decent portion hence is a must try for all wanton mee lovers ! lol

Wee Nam Kee Fried rice Smile Jan 31, 2014

Categories : Hainanese | Restaurant | Chicken Rice

I ordered their signature Wee Nam Kee Fried rice. What I like most is the real diced char siew meat unlike other stalls that put vegetarian char siew. When the fried rice is served to my table, can smell the nice and fragrant aroma. The rice grains do not stick to each other and have a good wok taste & fluffy too. The ingredients such as small shrimps are also very fresh. I always like to put their chicken rice chili into my fried rice and taste shiok. As for the service, the waiting time can be quite long during lunch hours but still worth it for the excellent fried rice. Overall, is a must try for all fried rice lovers !

Minced Meat Noodle Smile Jan 22, 2014

Categories : Noodles

I ordered the Minced Meat Mee Pok. The noodle is very springy and does not taste soggy at all. Whenever I order noodles, will always ask for extra chilli & vinegar as it complement the noodles very well. I like sliced mushroom the most as is very savory and can tell from the taste that it have been braised for very long. Overall, the Ingredients such as fishball, minced meat & sliced fish cakes are all very fresh & shiok!
As for the service can be quite slow during peak hours, but then is still worth the wait for all minced meat noodles lovers ! lol

Boneless Steamed Chicken Rice Smile Jan 19, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Chicken Rice

I ordered a plate of boneless chicken breast rice at $3.50. The chicken breast is tender & moist & not as dry & hard compared to other stall. As for the soup is brewed using the chicken bones and it's MSG free hence taste naturally sweet. What I like most is the gravy which they pour over the chicken, not too salty and very fragrant unlike other stalls which are oily and salty. I also love the rice which is fluffy & flavourful & not too dry or soft. The rice also have a nice fragrance of garlic and sesame oil. The chili also taste shiok and sourish & not watery. Overall, this is one of the best chicken rice I ever tasted & is a must try for all chicken rice lovers! lol
