O'Coffee Club Smile Jul 30, 2013

My mummy said she wants to be ‘trendy’ and so she wants to eat ‘ang mo’ food for lunch instead of the usual chinese food, so we went to O Coffee Club at Raffles City Shopping Centre. We ordered Skippers Delight Penne, Savoury Potato Platter.

Fragrant and tangy lobster sauces coats over well cooked penne topped with Zesty lemon, rosemary and garlic fish fillet
Potato platter is fantastically crispy fries and wedges with the cheese and salsa dipping. These smelt so good!

Overall pleasant dining experience and great companionship!

Coffee Bean Smile Jul 30, 2013

Only if there’s free coffee and dessert, if not there’s no way my friend can get me to sit down and listen to her talking about investment. We went to Coffee Bean at Ion Orchard. This place is so cramp and crowded all the time, sometimes inconsiderate people/students sit here, hog tables and study.
We ordered Mango Mousse Cake, Black Cherry Cheese Cake, Mocha Frappe.
The cake was smooth and light mango mousse with tangy bits of fresh mango.
Cherry cheese cakes is creamy and dense, but a little heavy tasting for my own preference. Mocha Frappe was refreshing and smooth to the taste buds. Now to have a good snack while I pretend to understand what she’s saying… nom nom nom..

Serenity Smile Jul 30, 2013

I’m so excited visiting Serenity as this is my first time trying authentic Spanish food. Patatas Bravas, roasted browned puffy potato drizzled with a rich, dense and powerful romesco sauce and garlicky alioli sauces. Fideua de Verduras, well cooked pasta tossed in aromatic onion, saffron infused olive oil and assorted vegetable. Topped with a big portabello mushroom (like a hat) although this is a vegetarian dish but it is pack with flavors. Arroz al Horno, looks really messy but tasted really good is a baked paella rice with savory Spanish chorizo and succulent pork rib. First try and I adore Spanish cuisine now.

Cocotte Smile Jul 30, 2013

There are lots of treasures to be discovered in Little India, so we start off with this cool country style looking place Cocotte at Dickson Road.
3 of us can’t really decide what we want but the nice friendly staff recommend us to try their Signature Poulet Roti ($60++). One big roasted whole chicken, chicken meat is slighty tough (free range chicken) but still it’s very flavourful. It’s served with crunchy vegetables. Other then the long waiting time for the chicken the rest is all good.

I really like to eat steamboat as it’s more ‘healthy’ and I can eat many different kind of items in one go. Usually we’d go to the ngee ann city branch but didn’t know it has ceased their operations, so after Googling, we found this instead. Served and seated by attentive and friendly staff together with a wide variety of choices here, I could easily be pampered!
Clear tasty chicken broth with fresh prawn, vegetable, assorted balls and my favourite the fish glue (soft and delicious).
I have no issues whatsoever with the place here. We all left with happy bellies velli happies with our money's worth.
