Ajisen Cry Jul 24, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

Parkway Parade Shopping Mall is a good place for food and shopping with plenty of carparks! Hidden in the basement and outside of Parkway Parade, some people actually forget there's Ajisen Ramen here... so it's quiet! We ordered Pork Ramen, Chicken Ramen, Fish Nuggets and Fried Chicken Wings. The staff are attentive and sincere in the delivery of their orders though it was a little slow.

The Pork Ramen was alright, portion amount is okay, filling enough.

The Chicken Ramen didn't work for me because despite soaked into the ramen soup, the chicken was still quite tough to eat.

Fish Nuggets' batter was too thick.

Most disappointing of all, my favourite Chicken Wings, was still bleeding from its earlier demise :/ Wish it could be better done.

Green Kway Teow Cry Jul 24, 2013

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

Golden Mile Food Centre is inconvenient as there are no MRT train stations nearby. I decided to go to this stall after an internal debate between the health conscious me and the sinful me. Looks like the sinful self has won the debate as I found myself at 91 Fried Kway Teow @ Golden Mile Food Centre... and I got myself a plate of Fried Kway Teow!

This hawker centre is always very crowded during peak hours, but not to worry, there are plenty of seats to go around. It might be quite hard to get a seat during lunch hours weekdays though.

The service is slow as there's a queue when I went.

I felt that I've really wasted my calories unwisely; overall noodles was too charred and dry for my liking the only good point is the crispy silverfish and the big portion of vegetables...

Dessert Cry Jul 19, 2013

Categories : Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

After a long Karaoke session it's time to soothe the throat with some desserts from Ah Chew Dessert @ Liang Seah Street. We ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago and Watermelon Sago! There is a nice Chinese decor, cute small orient chairs and table in the cafe. There is always a long queue during weekend nights. I think the dessert contained sour mango and bitter pomelo sad But at least I know they used fresh fruit and not canned fruit. The watermelon sago was rather watery and cloggy.

Le Chocolat Cry Jan 29, 2013

Categories : Hotel | Desserts and Cakes

Looking for nice dessert around club street area after dinner.
Spotted Le Chocolat cafe and was attracted by the 'Chocolat' on cafe's name.
Rainbow Cake - nice looking and Unique but cake is too dry and no flavor at all, all you can taste is cream and the thin layer of chocolate ganache.
The rest of the cakes we ordered is not fantastic as well, dry and crumbly; cheese wasn't smooth and the berries they use to decor the cake is not fresh.
OVerall dining experience = sad

Sin Hoi Sai Eating House Cry Jan 29, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre

We often pass by east coast road noticing crowds for this restaurant and the five star chicken rice restaurant so decided to give it a try.
There was a fly in my watercress soup so we asked to take it away and out from our bill.
Coffee spare ribs is tender and juicy.
Their special fried toufu is bland and not special at all.
Fried salted egg squid is rubbery and greasy.
Service was really poor; food is below average, was I there on a bad day or should I still wonder why are there still so many people ?
