Pasta  Cry Jan 28, 2013
Categories : Fusion | Food Court

the chicken was overcooked, crispy but dry. Spaghetti was alright, flavorful tomato spread on it. Just wasn't a fan of the burnt/stale/cold garlic bread. Service was slow as it was lunch. Live 'performance' (cooking) of the pasta is very impressive, that is why i choose this stall out of the many from this food court.

Custard bun, Sichuan Noodle Cry Jan 28, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

Date : 20121225
Time of visit : 12.30am
What/Where : Xing Wang HK Cafe @ Springvale
What we had : Custard bun, Sichuan Noodle
Average cost/pax : $4.30
Ambience : Crowded but clean, aircon with limited indoor seats
Service : Friendly staff. Manager was apologetic, initiative enough to bring me water after a piece of plastic stab into my gums when eating the sichuan noodle
Portion : Soft and hot creamy custard bun.
Location : Springvale located along east coast road; packed with eateries and cafe mostly open till late. Great place for group outing and coffee.
What's good in particular : n/a
What's bad in particular : Chef still insists that it's "fish bone" as it was obviously some kind of hard plastic that came off from a packaging or something.Queue and waite was around 30 mins (each). Disappointing for poor delegation of manpower on public holidays as we eat here often for a few years now.

Gangnam Style BBQ @ Rail Mall Cry Jan 28, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Korean | Korean BBQ

Date : 20121216
Time of visit : 7pm
What/Where : Gangnam Style BBQ @ Rail Mall
What we had : gangnam beef/pork, pork collar, cheese kimchi, shake shake lunch box
Average cost/pax : $136.55/4pax
Ambience : Newly open, clean, modern unique sitting arrangement
Service : Korean staff communication problems (language barrier) but they do seem to be tryin their best.
Portion : 2pc unmarinated 'FROZEN' pork collar for $22 (seriously! u be the judge); Shake shake L.box was pathetic there's like an egg, a few slices of hotdog and ikan bilis $12. Cheese Kimchi Pancake was the only thing that's half worth eating $18.
Location : Rail Mall along upper bukit timah road, abit hard to excess as the MRT is not up yet and very limited parking; there's pubs, coffee joint and a 24hr eatery here so it's good for supper meetups.
What's good in particular : n/a
What's bad in particular : Not value for $$; wrong price wrong portion.
