Time of visit : 8.15pm
What/Where : Tiong Bahru Jian Bo Shui Kueh @ Bedok Interchange Food Centre
What we had : Chwee Kueh
Average cost/pax : $1.10
Ambience : Crowded/noisy. This place has always been the same since I first stepped here in the 90s.This place has provided hundreds of residents in the area their daily meals and take-aways.Old drunk uncles chit chatting happily away with their pals and the hawkers themselves. Some may find this place a little "dirty" but it's more because of the lack of "manpower" to clean it up as people come, dine, and go real quick. It's quite hot at times just like the other hawker centres.
Service : Prompt delivery upon payment. Auntie seems to be in a bad mood cos someone ordered but didn't collect/pay.Guess who became the punching bag.
Portion : Chwee Kueh was a little stale and sticky, look at the dried rims, it's like eating plastic! The chai poh was oily and burnt. I told auntie I want the chilli to be put one side, she just chucked one stack of chilli on one of the 4 like bweh song (not happy) like that. Sian. Auntie, someone ruin your day pls repay back to them, don't pay it forward. This experience could be an isolated incident due to her mood, but I was very observant and polite with my words and tone when I ordered.
Location : It's at Bedok Interchange. Super convenient. As of the current date , the area is under heavy renovation especially the car park. I believe they're building new bigger ones. So there's limited lots.
What's good in particular : Nothing.
What's bad in particular : Everything.
